She woke up alone in the bedroom, freshened up, changed clothes, and went downstairs.

Downstairs, Chi Yu, Chi Zhan, and Chi Qing had already arrived at some point, and Yue Yaer was there as well.

Xiao Shumiao was nestled next to Gu Junzhu, his big curious eyes examining these unfamiliar faces.

With palpable excitement, Chi Zhan replied first, “Yes, it’s ready.”

Then Ye Xingbei looked at Chi Qing: “Has the treatment already started?”

Chi Yu replied, “Doctor Yue has already instructed someone to prepare the medication.”

Holding Xiao Shumiao’s hand, Ye Xingbei sat down beside Gu Junzhu, looking concerned. “Have they caught Shi Muqiao?”

Chi Yu pursed his lips and shook his head, “No, not yet.”

Chi Zhan angrily said, “We will catch him sooner or later!”

Ye Xingbei nodded.

She hoped Gu Junzhu was right. That it was those who bullied Chi Qing, not Shi Muqiao, who would provoke her the most.

Gu Junzhu clutched Ye Xingbei’s hand, “How are you feeling?”

Ye Xingbei flashed him a bright smile, “I had a good sleep, and now I feel refreshed.”

Gu Junzhu squeezed her fingers a little, “The medication will take some time to be prepared. Let’s have something to eat.”

Lingyue commented, “Xiao Shu is too thin. Eating more will help him grow faster.”

Xiao Shumiao nodded fervently, “Exactly, just like a tree needs plenty of water and fertilizer to grow tall!”

“What’s the rush? No one said you can’t eat!” Ye Xingbei flicked his nose again with amusement and took both Xiao Shumiao and Lingyue’s hands, “Xiao Yue, come join us for the meal.”

Xiao Shumiao was delighted at the prospect of another meal, “Okay! Thank you, mom!”

He had seen many delicious dishes prepared for his mother in the kitchen, so he knew he was in for a treat!

With Xiao Shumiao’s hearty appetite lighting up the dining table, it made everyone’s meal taste better.

Ye Xingbei couldn’t help but wonder as she watched her son savoring his food, despite all the food he consumed, he never seemed to gain weight. He had grown a bit taller but remained incredibly thin.

With the two of them keeping her company, she ate a bit more than usual, despite her lack of appetite.

After they had eaten and freshened up again, she brought the two boys back to the living room.

Chi Zhan, being an impatient person, couldn’t sit still as he waited.
