It took a few moments for Shen Yu to return to normal, as he quickly wiped his eyes and looked before him. All of his wives sat before him, bawling their eyes out.

Even a strong woman like Ning Xi had tears rolling down her cheeks, while silent women like Ying Yue were sobbing while trying to keep their eyes clean.

Lan Ming wiped her cheeks and said, her voice cracking with sadness.

"Master...why didn't you tell us before?"

Song Junwan nodded and added.

"Yeah, you supported all of us while going through all of that. You should have let us support you too. We are your life partners, aren't we?"

Shen Yu felt an overwhelming feeling that he tried to suppress and said.

"I'm sorry, I—"

"You shouldn't apologise for things like this, Master. We are a couple, a family, and we should support each other in everything. Isn't that what you taught us?"

Xiao Lan sighed, as she burned away her tears.

"We are just...upset that you didn't consider us to be your support, but we understand where you're coming from. So, we don't blame you."

Ying Yue said, as she smiled at Shen Yu. Her smile more beautiful than ever. Her golden orb-like eyes shining with an ethereal glow, as she suppressed the urge to go and hug her master.

They all have seen how much he had suffered and even then they couldn't comprehend what was truly going on in his heart. They couldn't understand how he had managed to remain sane even after all of this.

All of them had suffered one way or another, but even then they had broken down a lot of times. Only because of Shen Yu and the family he gave were they able to heal.

They were immensely grateful and wanted to do the same for him. Unfortunately, he had kept everything within himself and only helped others without seeking anything in return.

He just wanted love, something that everyone should get.

But they could also understand where he was coming from. He never had any proper relationship and whenever he had one, those people suffered a lot.

His mental trauma was a lot so it was natural he couldn't bring himself to open his wounded heart to everyone. And now, he had done it, which showed that he actually trusted everyone.

Ning Xi looked at her husband and sighed.

"Master, were you hesitating because we will know you got your power from that system?"

Shen Yu didn't answer but it was clear to them.

"I'll be honest, Master. I'm disappointed that you expected so little of us, but I also understand it. Most of us were drawn towards you because of your power, so if the source of your power wasn't yours to begin with, it's natural to feel hesitant about it."

Ning Xi grinned as she continued.

"But you're something important here. Many of us were drawn to you because of your strength, yes, but did we stay because of that? Not me, at least. And I can vouch for my sisters too."

Qing Zhiyan nodded, as she felt she needed to say something. After all, it wasn't just Shen Yu's power that made her stay with him. It wasn't his strength that made her give her everything to him.

"Yes, Master. What we love isn't your strength, but you. We love you and that's why we stayed with you. The power and everything was just a catalyst that made us get to know each other. But you're the one who made us fall for you deeper and deeper."

Li Xiaojing chuckled and said in agreement to her daughter.

"Same here. I would have wedded you because of your power anyway, but it would have been a loveless marriage. And guess what? I've fallen for you, so you can understand what we love isn't your strength but you and your nature."

Bai Li scratched her cheeks and said.

"Um, I want to say something but I can't since I don't love you. But yeah, I do admire you and look up to you. That isn't because you're powerful, you know."

Shen Yu slumped back on his chair and began laughing. Tears formed in his eyes but he kept them in and said.

"Ah! I've been an idiot, haven't I?"

Ning Xi shrugged in response and said.

"Yes, you've been stupid, Master. You should have done this way earlier, do you know why?"

"Please tell me, why?"

"Because that just made me fall for you even harder. Knowing how strong you are, I feel my body getting hot and wet. Hehe, even without that system, you're the strongest I've ever met."

Everyone began laughing at that, as they had to agree with that. The atmosphere lightened up, as they began to chat about everything regarding Shen Yu and his past.

For them, nothing really changed and in fact, this just made them even closer to Shen Yu. Knowing who he was and how he got to where he was, they felt a strong bond with him.

After all, they had considered him to be an ancient or even primordial being who was way higher than them. Even though they didn't want to admit it, it did make them keep some distance from him.

It was instinctive, as one was always wary and hesitant around a powerful person. But now, all of that went out of the window. They knew he was like them, so they were much closer to him.

They also felt silly because they had considered so many things about him. Although they found it embarrassing, they started to tell each other about what they had thought about Shen Yu initially.

Shen Yu sat on his chair, smiling all the way as he felt something breaking around his heart. He felt free, as if he had been released after decades of imprisonment. It was such a good feeling knowing that his wives accepted him for who he was.

He was honest and made things clear among them. And he felt it was the best decision he had ever taken.
