With various clans ganging up on the Celestial Heavenly Store, everyone expected the store's destruction. Unfortunately, the reality was different and that was the case for the Necoris commander, staring at the body of his men, lying lifelessly on the ground.

"Die!" Zennad shouted, fury marring his face.

The thought of losing men never occurred to him. To him, destroying a measly store meant trampling on ants. Dongping City was nothing but a backward place that did not warrant his serious attention.

But who would have expected that he would lose over ten men in such a backward city?

The deaths of his men felt like a dream—one he found hard to believe. When was the last time a human killed his men? He couldn't remember.

The mere sight of him sent shivers down the spines of that weak, spineless race. And yet, here they were.

Humiliated, his rage could drown everyone in the city.

Without hesitation, he charged toward the closest knight, swinging his weapon—a scythe.

Watching Zennad charge, a sly smile appeared on the knight's face. This was none other than Yijun.

"Just in time."

After escaping to the Celestial Heavenly Store, the store did not hesitate to treat his injury. Upon recovery, he had only one thing on his mind: revenge.

Thus, he didn't hesitate to join the knights, waiting for his moment. Joining the store's knights, he was shocked by the wide array of techniques available to them.

In addition, they were equipped with powerful armor that boosted their strength to unimaginable heights.

The scythe was a reward from the king after his campaign when he captured a large human city. With this Mortal Grade weapon, he had gone on many conquests, and his weapon had always been indomitable.

And yet, in this backward city, it was destroyed in a single exchange.

Looking at the dumbfounded Zennad, Yijun sneered and charged at him, raising his sword above his head.

"Seven Sea Tide - First Tide!"

His sword moved at breathtaking speed, rushing toward Zennad like a ferocious sea tide.

'Danger!' Zennad screamed in his mind as all his scales came alive, shining brightly.

Just as the sword was about to hit his body, his scales projected a bright aura that formed a shield around him, defending him from the deadly strike.

Yet, the force from the strike forced him to retreat several steps.

Looking at the bright shield around him, Yijun knitted his brow but was not scared.

He closed the short distance between them and struck again. But his strike couldn't break through Zennad's defense.

"Human, today I'll make you understand why humans are nothing but ants before us," Zennad said, his face full of confidence and ridicule.

As a Tier-1 Necoris, apart from his increased strength, he had also awakened his innate ability, one of which was the shield.

With this shield, he was fearless and charged toward Yijun, drawing a small dagger from his waist.

This was the dagger he had received from the spies they had sent to infiltrate the store's adventurer team.

Watching Zennad charge, Yijun's lips curled into an evil smile. Instantly, his armor came alive, covered in a faint blue light, and his aura rose quickly, suffocating those around him.

A miserable scream escaped from Zennad's mouth as he was sent flying, the shield around him covered in cracks before it shattered into pieces.

Crashing into the cold, hard ground, blood spewed from his mouth. His face paled, and his scales lost their luster.

"Impossible! Human ants cannot destroy my shield," he shouted, his voice filled with disbelief.

He tried to stand, only to realize his situation was more dire than he thought. A deep gash, ten inches long, stretched across his chest.

Although the Necoris race boasted unparalleled defense, against a mighty attack, their defenses were meaningless.

Groaning in pain, he heard light footsteps in the distance. Without raising his head, he knew who it was.

"Do you dare kill me?" He raised his head, filled with confidence and pride. "Kill me, and I promise your city won't last three days."

"At least you won't live to see that," Yijun responded, raising his sword.

Realizing his threat was useless, Zennad panicked and shouted, "Human, don't kill me! Ask me anything, and I'll grant it to you."

"Really?"

"Yes!"

"Then give me your life."

His sword descended like heavenly judgment, severing Zennad's head in one clean strike, marking the end of one of the Necoris' famous commanders.

Looking at the headless corpse of their commander, the few remaining Necoris were struck with disbelief.

Their invincible commander died just like that.

Their shock was so great that they failed to react to the two knights' attacks coming from their flanks.

Tonight, their pride and will as a superior race were shattered—and this was just the beginning.
