Chapter 442 Special Quest
Two days quickly passed.
At this point, Shye realized that he was not talented at all in the art of recruitment.
In two days, the only plan he could think of was to sit in the lobby, post up a sign that he was recruiting members for his division, and conduct an interview on the spot using a bunch of lesser orb of truths that he purchased for a total of 300 gold coins.
Quite an astronomical amount to spend.
However, Shye's priority was for his members to be trustworthy. Talent was only secondary.
After all, if they could demonstrate their loyalty and usefulness to him, he could reward them with certain benefits from the system, enabling them to automatically close the gap with the so-called "talented people".
And for that, he had to set up some sort of sustainable reward system within his division.
Naturally, if his members wanted to earn benefits, then they had to contribute one way or another.
Fortunately, the special quest did not add to his worries as yesterday, upon examining the quest's contents, he quickly realized that it would be nearly impossible for regular people to complete.

For such an insanely difficult quest, even possessing both intelligence and strength might not suffice, as the quest demanded something many claimed to have but few truly possessed: courage.
It was understandable, though.
After all, the quest's client was the World Adventurer Association itself, and it was specially created and reserved for those who wanted to become hero candidates.
Of course, if one wanted to become the region's hero, then one must be courageous—a pillar of hope for those in despair.
One that would never show cowardice regardless of how bleak a situation was.
The special quest could easily be completed by the Adamantite-ranked adventurers of Valenzia, however, they were not permitted to do so.
To ensure that only those who were truly qualified could attempt the challenge, the World Adventurer Association sent high-level guards that no one would dare defy lest they face the wrath of the organization governing the entire world.
While it was true that Shye managed to clear a mana dungeon of equivalent rank, one must note that even full parties of emerald-ranked adventurers failed to clear the dungeon for years.
Even Shye only managed to do so in less than two weeks after falling into an abyssal chasm—a hair-raising experience he didn't want to repeat at all, allowing him to reach the boss area far faster than others.
Who knows if even he, someone who had the Flashy Adventurer System, could clear the special quest alone within sixty days?
It would naturally be more impossible for others.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
This was the reason Shye wasn't too worried about someone completing the special quest before him.
After all, only rookies from Valenzia could attempt the mission, and although he wasn't sure whether the talented rookies from the more prominent regions could complete the quest, he was sure that it would be a bit too hard for those from his region.
The special quest was an exceedingly difficult challenge for lone rookie adventurers from Valenzia.
However, those who successfully completed it would genuinely be considered fit to be a regional hero, and if they also met the other two criteria, they would be officially announced as hero candidates.
…After retrieving the guild emblem and division tickets from the Pure Finesse Emblem Shop, Shye headed towards the guild.
He then submitted the emblem and division ticket samples to one of the receptionists in charge and went towards the lobby, to set up his recruitment sign.
Shye had hoped his division would at least be given a lounge.
Unfortunately, it appeared they needed to accumulate a total of 30,000 guild contribution points before they could be allocated a small room on the highest and most secluded floor of the headquarters.
'Well…it's a start, I guess.'
Immediately after he put up his sign, his guild members responded with mixed emotions; some thought he was arrogant, others viewed him with indifference, and some admired his bravery.
"H-Hey, look, is he truly recruiting members for his division? How was his application approved in the first place?"
"Hmmph! A rookie like him dares to establish a division? I do admire his talents, however, establishing a division is another story! Can he truly be responsible for the lives of our guildsmen?"
"Hahahaha! Bullcrap! I say he's a truly heroic individual! This kid will surely make it big!"
Naturally, Shye heard their words, however, he didn't care one bit as he already mulled over everything for an entire night and he was ready for the responsibilities.
Although he knew it would be difficult, he was confident that his division could secure at least one of the top 20 spots in the city.
As for how far they could go, it depended on how far Shye was willing to go.
Should all of his division members prove trustworthy, capable, and willing to help him achieve all his goals, then he wouldn't hesitate to provide generous rewards that would help them rise above the rest.
Shye was prepared for his recruitment to be a huge failure, hence, he was truly surprised when three people immediately approached him with excited expressions upon seeing his recruitment sign.
"H-Hello, Division Leader Crowley! My name is Reginald Bodan, and I would like to apply as a member!"
