Yet, the undeniable decline in the status of mages on the Northern Continent forced the Mage Towers to cancel some of their overbearing demands on the kingdoms and closely cooperate with them. Especially as the nations needed the mages' power for tasks like developing new weapons, this cooperation led to the current state of affairs.

To maintain their status, the Mage Towers now had to dispatch mages to do things they had previously refused, such as going to the Southern Continent to serve as advisors to colonial governors and participate in colonial wars.

The scene captured by the Dragonfly Drone was of Ousaisi, a Fire Element Mage and advisor at the Infia colony, repelling an attacking tribal militia.
