Chapter 399 The ApostleDex's Third Line, Back to Work
Once morning came, Stark was the only one still awake.
He had been intimate with the three girls all night long, yet he wasn't tired.
Instead, his mind was clouded with the memories of the classes' figures words: "Get the job done".
He looked back at the bed, Lana, Sora and Lilith lying there, peacefully resting.
"Well, I think it's better to go now," he mumbled, "I'll just send them a message or something."
If he wanted to complete those three missions, he would need to do it quick while he could.
[224 days 14 hours 52 minutes 28 seconds...]
The timer was still ticking down, too.
He went to the kitchen, then ate a bowl of cereal before finally making his choice.
"Alright, I'm ready, classes."
When he uttered those words, the classes figure appeared before him, finally smiling for the first time.
[Good, Chosen One.]
[Let's get rid of these assholes, then we can do whatever we want.]
"That's right."
But first, Stark opened up his [ApostleDex], since he wanted to check out the information he hadn't for a week.
He was so busy trying to enjoy himself every second that he had tried to not do anything related to the classes, his [Multi-Task Watch] or the [Domination Association].
But now he couldn't run anymore.
"ApostleDex, open up."
Ding!
The crimson panel with the 15 squares appeared before him.
All squares of the first two lines were now crossed out, as every apostle there was killed, meaning that only the final line remained.
[Information on the third line is available.]
"Yeah, show it to me."
Out of the 5 squares, four of their figures were darkened, meaning it was impossible for Stark to know what they looked like as he had never seen them.
Only one was visible: the [Great Serpent] he had met on the [Sunken Bridge], looking as terrifying as ever.
And of course, the two eyes that probably belonged to the [Godless Demon] were still there.
[5 remain.]
[Here's your information on them!]
"Yeah, give it to me," these things would tell him about their location, so it was all good as it would greatly help.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
...
[Line 3, Apostle 1]
[Name: ???]
[Level: ???]
[Location Hint: Domination Association's first "Impossible-Rank" mission.]
...
"Damn, as expected," Stark sighed.
Looks like they truly hadn't lied to him about the fact that there were apostles in there.
And the fact the Godless Demon, though he wasn't at his full power, was protecting the portals linked to them was probably to only allow him to enter.
Godless wanted to see Stark die in the hands of his apostles.
And even if they did die, it didn't matter to him.
For in the end, he could always do something very precise to revive them all to continue the chaos.
Stark would never be able to kill him, as that would mean reaching the Godless Demon's level in less than a year.
For now, all of this was but a show to the most powerful monster in this world.
...
[Line 3, Apostle 2]
[Name: Great Serpent]
[Level: 820 - Universal Rank]
[Location Hint: Domination Association's second "Impossible-Rank" mission.]
...
He already knew about this one, so it wasn't news or surprising.
But the fact that the second apostle of the third line was already this powerful, and at the [Universal Rank], meant that the ones beyond it would be even more terrifying.
There was only one rank beyond [Universal], and it was the [Divine] one, probably reserved for the last apostle and the [Godless Demon] himself.
...
[Line 3, Apostle 3]
[Name: ???]
[Level: ???]
[Location Hint: Domination Association's third "Impossible-Rank" mission.]
...
"Damn, they REALLY weren't kidding."
The first three apostles of the last line were ALL inside of one of the missions issued to him.
This made things infinitely easier, and with the association's help, he would be able to teleport there without having to find it himself.
Even with the locations given to him the previous times, some places would still remain unknown.
This happened with the [Colosseum] from before, until he eventually realized it was one of the academy's task.
But now, there was no "unknown", he already had everything he needed.
Except maybe... strength.
Stark clenched his fist, looking at it as burned with aura.
"No... I'll grow stronger, for sure."
He still had [258] skill points that he could assign, as well as ask the association to give him some skill stones or something to upgrade them all.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Anyway," Stark shook his head as he stared at the final two squares.
These two let out an ominous aura, much more powerful than any of the others ones.
It was also the apostles he didn't know about, since they wouldn't be in the missions.
"Here goes nothing," he breathed in as he checked it out.
...
[Line 3, Apostle 4]
[Name: ???]
[Level: ???]
[Location Hint: The Final Domination Trial]
...
[Line 3, Apostle 5]
[Name: ???]
[Level: ???]
[Location Hint: The Final Domination Trial]
...
"!!!" Stark's eyes widened so much at the sight that he almost woke up the girls.
The... final domination trial?!
There's another one!?
This is insane! How was this possible!
Wasn't Oliver level 200 himself? Wasn't he at the peak yet didn't have any sort of trial?
Or maybe... it was exclusive to him?
Ding!
Another panel appeared at that moment.
[The Final Domination is reserved only for the Chosen One, meaning that he will be alone.]
This meant no participant killing games: it was simply Stark against the monsters.
Stark against the two apostles, alone.
This was all the info he was given about the trial, and though he would have liked more of it, it was still more than enough for him to understand.
"Well... I guess I don't have any reason to be here anymore..." he grinned.
Stark glanced at the sleeping girls one last time, their serene faces bathed in the soft glow of dawn.
His gaze lingered on Lana, Sora, and Lilith.
Despite the chaos ahead, this moment felt like a calm sanctuary he would fight to protect.
"See you later..." he whispered, his voice neutral.
He opened his [Multi-Task Watch], typing out a short message to each of them:
"I've got some business to take care of. Don't worry about me. I'll be back before you know it. Stay together, okay?"
With that done, Stark took a deep breath, his crimson aura flickering faintly as determination coursed through him.
"ApostleDex, close," he commanded, the panel vanishing from view.
The [Classes Figure] stood silently in the corner, its smile unchanging as it watched him prepare.
Stark opened the door, stepping into the crisp morning air.
He clenched his fists, feeling the raw energy pulsing through his veins.
His journey was on the verge of ending.
Only 5 more.
"Alright, Classes," he said, his voice steady. "Let's get to work."
[Good, Chosen One.]
The figure's grin widened, and the air around Stark shimmered as the world shifted.
"Multi-Task Watch, send me back to the association," he ordered as he remembered Oliver doing that.
[Very well, Stark]
In a flash of crimson light, he vanished, leaving behind the quiet room and the three sleeping girls.
He had a little more than half a year before it would be all over.
Within that time frame, the fate of this world would probably be decided.
Stark would do everything to stop it.
