Chapter 961 On the upcoming turbulence
[Eon's POV: ]
"So… do you think he would be present there?"
After finishing up with the blueprint and suggesting a few things to the class, we finished with the outline that needed to be done for the day and said our classmates a goodbye.
It was getting dark already so everyone was going to go home now, or to the places they were staying at, or to their dorms… and since we still have classes tomorrow even after the long and tiring work, we will have to get up early tomorrow morning.
But for that, we will have to sleep first, and to sleep, we will have to lay on the bed, and to do that, we have to get back to the dorms.
"I have no idea…"
But, instead of doing what we were supposed to do as the students, we were back to the highest floor of the academy castle, on our way to the headmaster's office once again.
"If he isn't there, I'm not coming back here tomorrow or the day after that. He better come to us if he has anything to say or anything to apologise for."
She was upset, and after a long and tiring day, it's understandable.
"Well, let's see for ourselves though."
-Knock. Knock.

We had reached his office already so we didn't wait anymore and knocked on the door.
"Can we come in-." I was expecting a reply like last time at the very least.
"Yes, you can."
But unlike the voice of his familiar, we heard the voice that we had been waiting for since yesterday.
[{ "Looks like he's here at least." }]
[{ "Good." }]
She was angry at him for being so late this morning, and she wasn't in the mood to hear something that she didn't want to hear.
'Today was fun for her.'
The classes ended early, we had fun with our classmates, and there was also the discussion with everyone over how we would be making the island.
"Excuse us then…"
She was in a good mood and she was tired so she just wanted to go back and lay down on the bed after taking a long warm bath.
She didn't want to hear anything that would be uncomfortable, so I know how she's planning to ask him if he could postpone the bad parts of everything he wanted to say.
-Crrrrr…
"What important thing came up that you had to disappear in the morning, Mister Headmaster?"
As we entered the door, she spoke up without hesitation.
However, when she actually looked around the place, there was no one present in this room.
"Hmm?"
"Headmaster?"
The room was empty, the window behind his desk was closed, the two doors on both sides were closed, and even Harry wasn't present there.
"I'm here, come closer and sit down on the chairs."
It was strange, but the voice was definitely coming from the front, perhaps from behind his seat.
"Yes…"
"What the hell is going on here! Is this another prank, headmaster?! Are you ditching us again?!"
Even she couldn't see him, so it simply meant he wasn't present here himself.
"I apologise for that… however, sit down first."
I can feel the sadness and bitterness in that voice, which was very rare since this was the headmaster we were talking about.
"You better have a VERY good explanation ready!"
She believed since the headmaster asked them to enter, she would at least talk with him and tell him how she did not like what he did this morning.
But, now that she knew he wasn't here, the good mood that she wanted to preserve was already ruined…
"I know it's not easy for you to come all the way up here on such odd times, and I apologise for not being there."
We sat down on the chairs before his seat, and when we did, we found an almost invisible magic circle present on top of his desk.
That was perhaps the connection point through which he was watching us and connecting with this office.
"You don't have to apologise-."
"Tell me what's going on at least before needlessly apologising!"
She didn't like how he was apologising. He was the headmaster and not only were we students of the academy, we were simply members of the student council that was supposed to be under his direct command.
What we were doing was exactly what the student council members were supposed to do, she had learned that much from her personal experiences.
There was no reason for the headmaster to apologise to them if he was doing what he was supposed to do as the headmaster of the academy.
'But, it would be a different matter if he was just doing what he wanted that had nothing to do with his work.'
She wanted to know what he was up to all this time that he wasn't present there even right now.
"Well…"
We couldn't see him and the magic circle only projected his voice so we don't even know how much he was able to see or how much specifically he can tell us all that we needed to know at the moment…
"For now, I can only tell you that you have nothing to worry about. Its nothing too serious."
The headmaster told us how he was thankful, first of all, and then he continued with how they had found out a direct connection of the evil cult to the divinities.
He told us about how they saw the President's memories, and how THEY were not happy with this development.
"I'm with them."
"…what?"
"With the Masters?"
We expected that much, but to think it was true.
"Yes. And it doesn't seem like I will be able to come back anytime soon."
The higher beings couldn't directly exist in this realm however the Divine beasts were an exception.
They were beings that could most certainly exist in the physical world, but they could not be anywhere around the normal human population.
'Be it the phoenix that controls flames, the unicorns of purity, the dragons, or the great earth turtle. They could not be anywhere near the mortals.'
Their divinity was so strong that unless they were given specific permission by THEM and were under their direct protection, they would be reduced to ashes in a matter of moments.
'That's just how it goes…'
After experiencing just how powerful these higher beings can be, after seeing what a true form of a divine beast looked like, how it felt like even under extreme suppression, I know how dangerous it can be.
"Zodiac and Cradle will look after my work while I'm away but, it seems like you all will have to deal with the matters regarding the festival on your own."
"Obviously!"
Without him here, we didn't have anyone to command the student council directly.
Even with president present, we cannot just give out orders regarding sensitive matters like assassinations and law breaking.
There were many of us that didn't like anything like that, and some wouldn't listen to someone that was only acting as a spokesperson of the actual authority.
'Alpha wouldn't like taking orders from President for the actually important matters of the festival either.'
Yet, we will have to deal with this on our own in one way or another if he wasn't going to be around.
"It's complicated out here… we were able to uncensor how those cultists have connection with the divinities, but as if to have found out about us finding out about them, the beings we were finding with the traces almost vanished into thin air."
This was really concerning, especially since we are talking about happenings of the Higher realms.
"Is is possible that someone-."
"We considered the possibility of having a mole, but it turns out that's not the case.
They either found out that their back ups were compromised, or something unrelated to us happened, resulting in them going into a hiding or something like that."
The matter of having divine backing was already concerning but if we don't even know what kind of divinities are supporting them and what digree of authorities they have, what kinds of truths they know, and what level of integration they have achieved with their origins… I don't know what they could even do.
"We are looking into this, so as I said earlier, you don't have to worry about this matter as well.
There's more important things you have to look after."
The festival and the competition, Sir Jez's excitement and the expectations of our classmates, plus the festival preparations. There really was a lot that we have to look after…
"You should go back now… and please, look after the festival preparations until I'm here."
He was there and we are here, but as we both know, this 'festival' isn't just a celebration of something that's made up for the sole purpose of eliminating all the threatening elements of that evil cult from this island.
"Alright then, headmaster."
"We will go back for now but remember you owe us a huge reward when you get here, bastard!"
She didn't like him but she didn't hate him. However, little things like these made her 'hate' metre shift to the right, on the red…
"Please take care of yourself as well, headmaster."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
I don't know what he might be up to at the moment, but he was certainly doing something very important.
With the festival on the horizon, there are going to be a lot of things that we, as the student council, will have to take care of.
'With the students and teachers helping with the preparations within the academy, some things will be much easier.'
But still, the evil demonic cult…
'I'm not going to be part of that fight so, I cannot say how things will go on their part.'
But if the divinities that headmaster was finding were alerted, there's a high chance they know something we aren't aware of.
And if that really is the case, or if there's really a threat present that we aren't aware of… we all know how things are going to play out on this island.
As well as how this 'festival' of ours will affect THEIR and Our plans.
