Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 71 Zombie Infection?

John explained to them about the skills they all had which made their groups as much surprised as they were.

The most they were surprised about was Ella's skill and apparently Sean's too. While Ella could heal which was at the same level or even beyond than having water, Sean had the ability to give strength buff to others but seeing his aloof personality, the group had the expression of not having many expectations from him.

They were surprised to hear about Barney's skills too but in the end, he was the same as Mike and Jerry, and all their skill were at the same grade.

"In the end, Lucas's main skill is shelter generation but he's one of our main front fighters."

"Alright, then we should leave for the dungeon now, invite me to your party," Jimmy said while looking at Lucas, unlike Lucas's expectations, he was not at all surprised that Lucas was among the fighters that were in the front of the battlefield.

John had a hard time inviting all of them to the party as technology was not one of his fortes but in the end, Lucas had a big list of names, a red and blue on each at the left of his eyes.

It didn't hinder his vision at all and when Lucas wanted to look at it, he could see the list and aside from that, it was blurry at all times.

When everyone was ready, one by one, each person went inside the dungeon and vanished. Among the first ones were all the girls and at the front was Ella who had a knack for finding traps. She didn't have a skill but was proficient in it anyway.

In the end, six of them were left outside the dungeon, and one by one they went inside. Lucas was the 2nd last and Jimmy the last one.

At once, Lucas saw a full shift in his vision, it was as if he blinked and he was at a different place.

"Ugh... no matter how many times it happens, It will never stop being weird." Lucas groaned while saying and many more noises like him indicated that he was not alone.

Lucas looked up and had a dumbfounded expression, he was in a group of people mixed together. On his left side was Mike, on the right, was Sandra, and in front and behind were also Jimmy's people. He quickly went toward John and the others who were surprisingly together and were only a few steps away.

"What the hell?" John said while looking around. Lucas did the same and he could tell the difference.

For starters, there was no corridor they had to cross, there was nothing like that. The walls of the dungeon were the same... with a grey color like cement and some torched every few meters.

Lucas and everyone were at the exact location where they defeated the dungeon's boss, the Firebird. There was no exit and the chamber looked bigger than before.

[You have entered the realm of an uncommon dungeon]

[The dungeon has reached its maximum capacity, no further entry permitted.]

[Welcome to the next level of the dungeon!]

[Boss monster- Undead infection]

[Undead infection is one of the 10 deadly viruses in the plains of Amaeron and is located in this dungeon]

[Special Quest of the dungeon- Defeat the four common forms of species with the Undead Infection that comes out of the infectious realm to clear this level.]

[Reward- two uncommon grade chest]

[Failure- Turn into an Undead, the virus breaks outside tainting the world with its presence.]

[Time before the portal opens- 15 minutes]

Lucas read each and every text with precision. His eyes widened with shock as to what they had gotten themselves into.

"Oh my god?! Doesn't this sound like the zombie virus?!" Haley said while looking at Jimmy who had a serious expression on his face.

"This is bad... it's something very huge, everyone. One of the 10 main infections?" John said with a pale expression thinking about the consequences.

"So if we get defeated, the virus will get outside?" Mike asked his leader, his face had concern written all over.

"Leave everything, If we get killed, we become a zombie?!" Sean said from the side.

Lucas could tell that the guy was being selfish again but for once, he couldn't be more supportive of him.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Things had become too real too quick, the people who had just come with the greed to hoard the rewards not thinking that it may get too serious like this.

Everyone had become confident with the newly found numbers they gained just now.

"What's the plan, only 8 minutes left till they come..." Jimmy asked while looking at John who was in deep thought.

His eyes darted back and around and finally, a sigh left his mouth.

"We're stuck... there is no exit."

Everyone felt a chill in their body, in front of them, the countdown had gone to five minutes making it impossible to stay calm.

Lucas took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. The reality of their situation sank in, and the gravity of the quest they had stumbled upon became clear.

The thought of being trapped in the dungeon and potentially turning into undead creatures was enough to send shivers down their spines.

"We can't panic," Lucas said, his voice steady but filled with determination. "We need to focus and find a way to defeat these infected creatures before the portal opens. We need a plan"

The group exchanged worried glances, realizing that time was running out. They needed a plan, and they needed it fast.

"First, we should assess our resources," John suggested, his voice strained. "What weapons do you all have?"

Each member of the group began to take their weapons out. They carried a variety of weapons, ranging from swords and axes to bows and arrows.

"If this infection spreads through bits and scratches just like those zombie movies, then Mike can be great in the front lines," Jimmy said while looking at Mike who now had a determined face and nodded in agreement.

He had the tough skin skill that could help with not getting bit and scratched.
