Chapter 334: The End Is Near



With the two armies in the sky, the nearby rivers started burning and turning crimson like blood.

The trees started dying, and all the animals fled in fear.

Gabriel summoned one of his snow globes and tossed it over to the sky.

Those snow globes started hovering, and they grew wings with round eyes at the center. It looked like the snow globes turned alive!

"My Snow Globe Angels!" Gabriel laughed madly.

"Crazed Angels." Rawkshawn raised a finger, and his pale-skinned winged creatures

appeared from the darkening sky while singing a haunting melody.

"Haaa!" Kol slammed his hand on the ground, and ugly, muddy-looking creatures emerged from the drenched ground.

"My Ground Angels."

With loud screams, the five powerful armies started running and flying throughout the land, killing everything in their path.

The end of the world was near.

CRACK!

Through the window, with his beautiful eight-petaled wings, Adam flew through the air and started flying away from the village.

The mercenaries watched as he quickly disappeared beyond the horizon.

"Where is the guild master heading off to?" Digby said while standing by the balcony. "He looks to be in a hurry."

"I really can't get used to you calling someone else a guild master." Valora said with a wry smile. "It feels strange."

"Well, better get used to it; Adam will lead our guild to a glorious future." Digby said. 'However, where is he going with such a hurry?'

As Adam neared the mountains of the west, he used his Kiryoku and managed to locate a hiding army by the valley.

When he arrived at the skies above the valley, the pale-skinned creatures looked up at him with looks of inhumane anger.

"SCREEECH!"

With loud screeches, the hundreds of Crazed Angels took flight, their wings creating a deafening roar as they ascended towards him.

"I don't have the time to waste on all of you."

At that moment, Adam transformed into his beautiful winged form of Berserker. The face turned into a long peaked beak with liquid fire burning in his eyes.

"The Supreme Flight of the Berserker!"

Looking like a flaming drill, Adam descended upon the Crazed Angels with insane speed. The ground below turned ablaze as he unleashed his fiery wrath upon his enemies.

The Crazed Angels came to a stop and drew their swords.

However, before they could swing them, Adam smashed through them and burned most of them alive.

As most of them turned to ash, the remaining survivors screeched and chased after Adam, but then he turned around in the sky and flew straight back at them.

The rest of the Crazed Angels smashed their swords at the flaming creature, but the blades melted away like butter, and Adam cut through them with his flaming wings.

"Screech!" Adam let out a screech with berserk fury as the rest of the Crazed Angels turned to ash behind him.

With strength that seemed to rival the force of the nature, Adam easily destroyed the Crazed Angels!

They were part of Moriarty's ultimate plan to destroy the Zestruction faction, and he was hundred percent sure that they would be more than enough to do that.

However, just him alone, Adam was able to triumph over that!

There was no time to waste, and thus Adam took flight again and soared through the air like a flaming phoenix.

'Hurry, hurry!'

At the monastery on top of a mountain.

"..." Kanari sat inside his own room with his eyes closed, and then he slowly opened his eyes. "He hadn't contacted me..." He stood up and brought out his knife. "What a shame..." With a shake of the head, he hid the knife inside his clothes and made his way out of the room. The monks kept greeting him and nodding their heads. Kanari responded accordingly while slowly making his way over to the female section of the monastery.

Even though he knew Lady Yu, they wouldn't allow him to enter that place.

'And that bastard is always watching.' Kanari looked over to the highest tower at the monastery. 'That Abbot knows everything that is happening inside this wretched place.'

By the balcony, Lady Yu watched over to the sky.

While the sky above the monastery was clear and bright, the sky beyond the horizon looked murky and dark.

She was feeling cold, and she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in her

chest.

"What could be out there, lurking in the darkness?

She wondered, left the balcony, closed its door, and went to her bed to sit down.

It had been quite boring for her in the monastery.

She would just sit and read, occasionally walk outside with the nuns, but otherwise, she kept worrying about the war that was raging across the New World.

At least she had an easy way of knowing whether her lover, Adam, was alive because their lives were bound together.

However, there was a feeling not long ago, and she started to have nightmares of Adam being

in danger.

It was just a couple of nights of nightmares, and they suddenly just disappeared, so she thought that it was nothing.

However, she'd read from some of the books that those who had done the holy ceremony were connected on a very deep level.

In such a deep level that they would be able to easily tell whether one of them was in danger.

Knock, knock.

"Hmm?" Lady Yu walked to the door and opened it.

She looked surprised.

"Kanari, what're you doing here?"

"I came to see how you were doing, miss." Kanari stepped through the door without asking

her whether it was alright.

"Are you sure you can be here?" she asked as she knew that the nuns of the monastery were

very strict about no-male visitors in their part of the monastery.

"Yes, they gave me permission."

While his back was turned on Lady Yu, he retrieved his knife from his clothes.

"Well, are you doing well?"

"..." Lady Yu felt like something was odd with him.

At the highest tower in the monastery, the abbot suddenly fell off his chair and quickly

crawled over to the window.

"S-something is coming..."

With his perfect vision, he was able to see a flaming creature heading in their way.
