My Slayer System: Rise to Supremacy

Two days later, the day of the joint hunt between the second year and third years, Jake woke up early as usual feeling quite anxious and then he went to complete his daily quest as usual. Came back took his bath, waited for everybody to go take their bath so they could all go take breakfast together.

After eating, an hour later, they were all summoned to the assembly hall where they all saw all the second and third year students gathered.

Then at the front, were all the Generals as they were about to address the crowd.

"I know all of you must have been briefed about what was going to happen today. Today is the joint beast hunt between the second and third year students and you all are hunting advanced tier beasts." Paul said as he stood in front of the other Generals.

"And in order to do that, you all are going to be using the red portal behind me."

Hearing that, the students began murmuring in fear as they now realized that the academy were really sending them on a suicide mission.

The red portal planets were usually for the Generals and other high ranking officials and also people strong enough to go in and hunt but now, they were sending the students there go hunt.

'This confirms my thoughts.' Jake thought. 'They are also using this medium to seed out the weak among us and then use the strong to wage a kind of war. This really makes me feel sick to the core but there's nothing I can do.'

"This will be a three days hunt but don't worry, knowing the danger ahead, we will send a General to accompany you all Incase you all sight a much more powerful beasts that you couldn't handle."

"There's also no longer a need for teams for this hunt because it is a joint hunt so you all have to learn to work together to achieve your aim. And there's also a small shelter there where after hunting for the day, you will all go and rest." Paul said.

"Okay, so without wasting much of your times, you all can now go into the portal while holding yourselves. The head general will go ahead of you all. And your hunt starts as soon as you step through that portal."

"So good luck you all." Paul said and stepped back as General Kron; the Qi specialist stepped forward into the portal and disappeared into the other world.

Slowly, all the students were now stepping through the portal one by one until it was Jake's turn. He turned around to look back at the generals and he could see General Paul and Wilfred's sad look as if they didn't want this to happen.

But Jake knew they were powerless to stop it so he just sucked it up and prepared to step through the portal.

'It's those at the top that caused this. I promise, after coming out of this planet, along with curing the world of werewolves, I will also pay the Head Generals back in kind.' Jake thought as he finally stepped through the portal.

Coming out of the other end, Jake could see the sun shining brightly and the students off to the side murmuring and chattering while broken buildings littered almost everywhere.

Jake could also smell things burning off to the distance. Looking around, Jake could see smoke in the air almost trying to cover the sun and then, Jake walked over to his friends that were all standing around looking at Kron.

"Alright, the hunt has began. Meet me here in the next five hours so I can take you all to the shelter to rest for the next day. And one more thing, your watches if pushed, it will send a message of help to me." Kron explained.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"I don't want you pushing it anyhow, only send a message of help to me when you really need it. Only when you see a beast you can't handle are you permitted to send a message of help. Now without much ado, your beast hunt starts now." Kron said and went off somewhere to sit while everyone were confused on where to start.

"What do we do Jake?" Sophia asked as they were all stumped on what to do.

"Since it's a joint hunt, let's stick together and I will also invite some friends over then we will go further to hunt." Jake replied as he was fiddling with his system.

"Which friends?" Jack asked and then right on cue, Alex and Emily came over and stood beside Jake.

"These friends." Jake pointed beside him.

Earlier when Jake had stepped out of the portal, Jake decided to send Emily and Alex a message asking them to head over to where he was so they could stick together and hunt together.

"When did you befriend them?" Cindy asked eyeing Emily up which didn't go unnoticed by her.

"Oh please, I'm not interested in taking your boyfriend, I have a crush of my own." Emily said as she looked at Alex.

That particular statement made someone angry.

"Boyfriend?!?" Kate asked staring at Cindy already gripping her bow tightly and even trying to take an arrow from her quiver.

"Oh oh." Sophia said as she tried to move to Kate and try to calm her down.

"Can we focus on what's on ground? The others have all gotten a head start in hunting while we are here arguing." Jake said as he quickly equipped his boots, gauntlets and sword.

Anytime he did that, the others were always in awe as he seemingly didn't have his weapon on him and suddenly, it will all appear like a type of magic.

"Jake is right." Alex said unsheathing his giant sword.

"Let's go hunt some beasts shall we?"

And they all nodded as they headed in a particular direction.
