Chapter 2582: Tricked

Chapter 2582: Tricked

The battle at the edge of the Divine Realm raged on, a tempest of divine energy and destruction. The clash of powers between the God Emperors and the invading forces of the Ancient Gods and the Heavenly Court shook the very fabric of the universe.

Amidst the chaos, Hongyue and Mo Liang's duel stood out as a beacon of intensity, their powers colliding with earth-shattering force.

Hongyue's crimson robes fluttered like flames in the wind, her sword gleaming with an eerie red light under the glow of the crimson moon above her. Her movements were fluid and precise, each strike aimed with deadly accuracy.

Mo Liang, on the other hand, was a towering figure of darkness, his spear swirling with destructive energy. Yet, despite his immense power, he found himself increasingly frustrated. "How is this possible?" Mo Liang growled, his voice laced with irritation as he parried another of Hongyue's strikes. "You're nothing but a child compared to me! How can you stand against me toe to toe?"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Hongyue's expression remained calm, her crimson eyes glowing with an unyielding light. Her sword danced through the void, each swing sending waves of crimson energy rippling through the space around them. The crimson moon above her pulsed, amplifying her power and casting an ominous red glow over the battlefield.

Mo Liang's frustration grew as he realized that Hongyue was not only holding her ground but gaining the upper hand. He had lived for eons, his power honed through countless battles, yet this young woman, who had only recently ascended to the level of a True God, was matching him blow for blow. It didn't make sense.

"You're hiding something," Mo Liang snarled, his dark eyes narrowing as he unleashed a flurry of spear strikes. "There's no way someone as young as you could possess such power. What trick are you using?"

Hongyue sidestepped his attacks with ease, her crimson sword deflecting his spear with a resounding clang. "You talk too much," she said coldly, her voice cutting through the chaos. "If you're so confident in your power, then prove it."

Mo Liang's lips curled into a snarl. He raised his spear, and the dark energy around him surged, forming a massive vortex of destruction. "You dare mock me? I'll show you the true power of an Ancient Devil God!"

With a roar, Mo Liang thrust his spear forward, sending a wave of dark energy hurtling toward Hongyue. The energy tore through the void, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Hongyue's eyes narrowed as she raised her sword, the crimson moon above her pulsing with energy. A beam of red light shot down, intercepting the dark energy and dissipating it into nothingness.

"Is that all?" Hongyue said, her voice calm but laced with disdain. She stepped forward, her sword moving in a blur. Each strike was faster and more powerful than the last, forcing Mo Liang to retreat.

Mo Liang's frustration boiled over.

"Enough of this!" he roared, his dark energy surging as he unleashed his full power. The space around him began to collapse, forming a black hole that threatened to consume everything in its path.

Hongyue's expression remained calm, but her eyes burned with determination. She raised her sword, and the crimson moon above her pulsed again. A wave of red energy erupted from her blade, clashing with the black hole and causing the space around them to shatter.

BOOM!!!

The explosion sent shockwaves rippling through the void, the force of the collision pushing both combatants back.

Mo Liang gritted his teeth as he struggled to regain his footing, his dark energy flickering. Hongyue, however, stood tall, her crimson aura radiating with an unyielding power. "Impossible!" Mo Liang growled, his voice filled with rage. "How can you still stand?" Hongyue didn't respond. Instead, she raised her sword, and the crimson moon above her began to glow brighter.

The space around Mo Liang began to twist and warp, the laws of reality bending to Hongyue's will. Crimson light flashed, and the void around Mo Liang was ripped into pieces.

Mo Liang's eyes widened as he felt the pressure of Hongyue's power. He raised his spear, summoning a wave of dark energy to counter her attack.

Hongyue stepped forward, her sword moving with unmatched precision. Each strike was aimed at Mo Liang's weak points, forcing him to retreat further. The crimson moon's light seemed to guide her movements, enhancing her speed and power.

"Where is Yun Lintian?" Mo Liang suddenly demanded, his voice laced with suspicion. "He should be here, leading the defense of the Divine Realm. Why hasn't he appeared?"

Hongyue's expression remained calm, but her eyes flickered for a fraction of a second. Mo Liang noticed the subtle change and smirked.

"So, he's not here," Mo Liang said, his voice dripping with mockery. "He must have gone somewhere else. What is he planning? Or is he running away?"

Hongyue didn't respond, but her attacks grew more ferocious. The crimson moon above her pulsed with energy, and a wave of red light erupted from her blade, forcing Mo Liang to retreat further.

Just as Mo Liang was about to unleash another devastating attack, a faint ripple of energy passed through the void. His expression changed instantly, his dark eyes narrowing as he sensed the message that had just reached him. It was from Mo Xie.

"The plan has succeeded," Mo Xie's voice echoed in Mo Liang's mind, cold and triumphant. "The Azure World is sealed. Retreat for now."

Mo Liang's lips curled into a cold smile as he received the message. His demeanor changed instantly, the frustration and anger melting away to be replaced by a calm, almost mocking expression. He lowered his spear, the dark energy around him dissipating as he took a step

back.

Hongyue's eyes narrowed as she noticed the sudden change in Mo Liang's demeanor. She didn't lower her sword, her crimson eyes burning with suspicion.

Mo Liang chuckled, his voice dripping with mockery. "Curious? Hehe. I can tell you. Everything here this battle, this chaos-it was all just an act."

Hongyue's expression remained calm, but her grip on her sword tightened. "What are you talking about?"

Mo Liang's smile widened, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement. "You really think we came here to conquer the Divine Realm? How naïve. No, this was never about the Divine Realm. This was about distracting you-all of you-while the real plan was set into motion."

Hongyue's heart sank as she realized what Mo Liang was implying.

"The Azure World..." she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
