Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 260 | 260 | The Duel's Finale

"I believe you misheard me," Abraham wryly smiled and glanced at the dragoness standing behind him. It was to be expected that his wife wouldn't affected by the so-called tricks he had in his pockets. But to see her unaffected by it was troublesome, to say the least. It was as though she was taking a stroll in the park.

"Oh, I did? I'm quire confident in my hearing, you know? I didn't think I misheard anything." Laplace grinned while gazing at the middle-aged man. Her husband had grown much more stronger than ever before. His strength was beginning to rival hers, which was intriguing for the dragoness. After all, a strength of a dragon like her wasn't to be underestimated.

"Well, what can I do about my monstrous beautiful wife?" Abraham smirked and stood his ground. With his pride affected by the personal power, there was no way he was backing out in any challenges directed towards him. It might be a weakness, but with enough power, there would be no one and nothing that could exploit it.

"Don't think that I am easy, my love. Your praise wouldn't be enough to stop me from teaching you a lesson." After uttering such words, the dragoness disappeared from the spot and appeared beside the middle-aged man, throwing a side kick. Abraham raised his eyebrows and blocked the kick with his arms, flinging him a kilometer away.

Making his landing, Abraham looked onward and maintained a smile. His arm was aching from her kick alone, signifying that her strength was much more stronger than he expected. No wonder she could take care of those Apostles and Arch Magus like they were mere children.

With this strength, as long as no one used a magicraft that could warp reality itself. She was bound to win no matter what. But nonetheless, he was confident of his own strength as the Sun God. As long as the golden sun above them burned vehemently, he would remain standing regardless of anything that was thrown at him.

"What are you thinking about, my love?" Out of nowhere, Laplace appeared beside Abraham and sent another punch at him. Instead of blocking, however, a smile curled up over the middle-aged man's face as he punched her at the stomach. Although her punch connected, he was confident of his endurance.

"I see... So, that's your plan, huh? Can't believe you would want to have a brawl with your wife." Laplace chuckled as she felt the punch over her stomach. It didn't damage her, but it did somewhat sting. But she didn't care about the pain and threw another attack instead. Abraham did the same and counter-attacking with all he had.

The two were brawling amidst an island filled to the brim with destruction. The once-lushed filled land had become nothing more but a wasteland. Each attacks they launched caused shockwaves to be thrown out everywhere, but the two didn't care. Kicking, punching, and grappling with one another, trying to win, was the only thing they could think of.

*BOOM!!!*

The island trembled from the power brought upon by the Dragon of Liberation and the Sun God. Even though they were merely fighting against one another in close-combat, an attack on its own could bring disaster to a city. After a minute of hand-to-hand combat, Laplace took a step back and casted a spell towards her husband. Your next chapter awaits on empire

It was a spatial-suspension spell, which was bounded upon thousands of thousands of spell circle orbiting from above the heavens. A spatial-suspension spell was amongst the most complex of the spells that Laplace had constructed. The idea of its creation stemmed from the OURANOS spatial-stabilizer, which ensured that the state of the space would remain stabilize no matter what.

The difference was that instead of stabilizing the spatial plane, she would suspend it instead. The effects of the spatial-suspension spell was fairly clear. A complete stop of anything and everything. The velocity of every atom would forced to suspend to zero, stopping them from vibrating all-together. It was akin to a time stop.

Gazing at the frozen island that seemed as though time itself had halted, Laplace smiled as she turned her attention towards her husband. The spatial-suspension spell was complex, and a single spell circle destroyed would practically disable the spell altogether. It was for this reason she casted it above the heavens, beyond what anyone could see with their mere perception.

"I didn't think it would work so easily." The dragoness remarked while observing her handywork. It was one of the spells she had constructed to counter the Sovereigns. After all, relying on her innate abilities as a dragon wouldn't be enough to defeat the so-called Gods of Humanity. But to think that she would be forced to use it towards her husband.

"He has gotten much stronger." Laplace muttered to herself while walking towards the frozen Abraham, who was already in a stance preparing for whatever she threw at him. Sadly, what she conjured through magicraft wasn't an attack, but a denial spell instead. Though, it does utter his weakness in the realms of magicraft.

Standing in front of him, the dragoness touched his firm cheeks and smirked at how handsome he was when fighting against her. His serious and tough exterior was also cute. "I guess this is my win." The dragoness mumbled, though as she was about to strike her husband at the neck to knock him out. The temperature in the spatial-suspension field was increasing beyond the average.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she turned her gaze towards the heavens. The sun gleamed with unparalleled radiance as though it was watching over her with its authority. It was at this moment when she finally understood what was happening. Just when she thought it was already over, her husband never failed to amaze her.

Meanwhile, above the heavens were thousands of intricate spell circles that had suspended the spatial plane of the island. They were orbiting with complexity, though with the mere temperature of the sun. Some spell circles were disintegrating into pure mana. As a result, the spatial-suspension spell was disabled after its casting.

"I can't believe you would throw that at me." Abraham lightly chuckled while patting some dust off his clothes. He gazed at his wife, who was smiling at him. "I just wanted to test the effectiveness of my spell. I guess it needs some tweaking to be useable." Although one wouldn't expect the sun to be essentially helping her husband, it was still an obvious weakness.

"Anyhow, my love. Is your stamina up for another round?" Laplace tilted her head and asked the middle-aged man before her. Abraham brought up his stance and smirked. "My stamina hasn't taken a dent, my dear wife. I can last for eternity without exhausting myself."

The two disappeared from the spot as flashes flickered across the island at instantaneous speeds. Each and every flashes caused the ground to shatter and the air to be split apart. It was an intense battle between the two strongest beings within the United World Government. And the results of it would change the destiny of the world.

...

A couple days soon passed as the UNS Light Bringer sailed through the nearby waters where the Dragon of Liberation and the Authority were last seen. The higher echelons of the United World Government were becoming anxious from the lack of contact. After all, these two were the pillars that ensured the UWG's authority over foreign factions.

Without them, while powerful, the United World Government would not have a significant higher power.

Captain Lux of the UNS Light Bringer gazed through the windows of his bridge and saw nothing but the rough tides of the sea region. His eyes furrowed as he wondered if they had the correct coordinates. Glancing at his intelligence officers, the commanding officer questioned.

"Is this the correct coordinates?" He questioned, to which an intelligence officer answered. "This is the coordinates sent by the Citadel, Captain Lux. It has been confirmed through the data link." Hearing their response, Lux's gaze narrowed as he returned his attention forward.

"Should we search the surrounding area, Captain?" Another intelligence officer calmly asked while the captain merely smiled and shook his head, rejecting their idea. "There's no need. We are in the correct coordinates. Prepare yourselves... We will be meeting the highest authorities of the United World Government."

Captain Lux ordered his men as he continued to place his attention forward. In the distance was a small rock that was fighting against the rough waves of the cold seas. On the tiny landmass were two individuals laying side by side without a tinge of injuries on their bodies. During their long duel against one another, the island had been devastated to the brink that it sunk entirely into the seas.

While laying in relaxation, Abraham glanced at his wife who laid beside him and uttered. "What do you think, Laplace? Are we ready?" The reason why they were fighting was to grasped their capability to fight against someone that was much stronger or in equal strength to them. Although they couldn't defeat each other, they wouldn't be fighting alone.

A smile etched itself into the gorgeous face of the dragoness as her golden eyes landed upon her husband. "We are beyond ready, my love. Just give me your word and we'll conquer this world together. After all, with the two of us around, not even the Sovereigns would be able to underestimate us."

"I see... I was wondering when we would begin our next expansion. I guess it's time." Abraham lightly chuckled as the UNS Light Bringer sailed beside them with the voice of Lux resounding from it.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
