Chapter 1260 Rival (Part 2)
1260 Rival (Part 2)
In just a few seconds, Anastasia brought Evan to the top of the mountain where their home in the closed world of the Dryads was located.
Once there, she glanced at the ice cocoon Evan was carrying with him using his spiritual power and, with a single thought, stored it inside her Core World.
"Since Winterclaw was able to locate her when she was on Earth, there is a very high chance that he will be able to find her here as well," Anastasia explained after placing Valery inside her Core World. "But with my shadow powers, it will be impossible for him to locate her as long as she stays inside my Core World."
A look of understanding flashed across Evan's face upon hearing Anastasia, and he nodded his head. In truth, he was already planning to ask Anastasia to use her powers to hide Valery's presence once they returned.
Seeing Evan nod, Anastasia didn't say anything further and instead pulled him toward the waterfall cascading down the mountain.
At the same time, she used a wisp of her power to create an essence clone and ordered it to go inside and cook for Elora, who was already bouncing around inside the house due to hunger.
Evan didn't say anything when he saw this as he had already expected this result and leisurely followed her.
"Tell me about your experience after you left for the Forbidden Land of Utopia," Anastasia asked once they reached the base of the waterfall.
Evan was surprised when he heard Anastasia's question and looked at her with a startled expression.
"What?" Anastasia asked when she noticed his surprised look.
"It's nothing," Evan shook his head. "I just thought the first thing you'd ask me about would be my cheap sister that the old man mentioned in the message he sent to Ashley."
Anastasia rolled her eyes when she heard Evan's response and smiled smugly.
"Why would I care about such things? Even if you get close to another woman, have you forgotten about your Cursed One title? In this world, I am the only one immune to its effects, so there is no need for me to worry about anything."
Evan's face darkened when he heard Anastasia's words, his mouth twitching in frustration.
Seeing his darkened expression, Anastasia smiled outwardly, but deep down, she couldn't help but shake her head helplessly as she recalled what she noticed when she first saw the ice cocoon Valery was inside.
'That girl was also affected by his title, and now she is already on the verge of death,' Anastasia thought to herself, casting a glance at Evan. However, she had no intention of revealing this to him as it would only make him more depressed.
"Well, since you brought her up yourself, I will grant your wish and ask the question you were hoping for. Tell me, who is this sister Sylvan was talking about?" n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Forget it," Evan waved his hand dismissively and lay down, looking at the floating clouds in the sky. "I don't want to tell you anything about my sweet sister."
As he lay there, Evan's mind wandered back to the questions he had asked the black figure about his Cursed One title.
'Bloodline and my Race Eltharon… According to that figure, even my title is somehow connected to my bloodline and race, though it didn't know the exact details.'
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Evan shook his head and began recounting everything that had happened since the moment he left the closed world of the Dryads.
He started with his journey to Fragile End, where he had mistakenly entered a shop that contained a Rank Five artefact, the Reality Mirror, which caused the effect of the earring Anastasia gave him to disappear.
He told her how, after killing the people who tried to rob him in Fragile End, he made his way to the Forbidden Land. (Chap—1054)
As Anastasia listened to Evan's story, her expression turned increasingly strange, and she looked at him with a mix of disbelief and amazement.
When Evan described how he stumbled upon a group kidnapping a small Stoneman and killed them, only for the small Stoneman to mistake him for a monster, she couldn't help but laugh.
When he told her how the Rank Five Stoneman who arrived to rescue the small one attacked him, Anastasia nearly choked in shock.
"This..." She was utterly speechless as she heard his tale. For a moment, she realized she had underestimated the bad luck brought about by Evan's Doom Bringer bloodline.
"You know, I have encountered a few members of the Stoneman tribe in the past and they are generally quite peaceful, but in your case..." Anastasia said, her tone tinged with amusement.
"That bastard was just taking advantage of his higher rank," Evan said with a sneer. "Wait until I see him again. If I don't turn him to dust, I will change my name."
Anastasia chuckled at Evan's words, sensing his anger toward the Rank Five Stoneman.
"If you want to kill that Stoneman, you will need to be careful," She warned.
Evan raised an eyebrow when he heard Anastasia's words and asked curiously, "Is the Stoneman tribe really that powerful?"
"Of course, they are," Anastasia nodded. "Every individual from the Stoneman tribe is naturally stronger than a normal core evolver of the same rank. But what truly makes them one of the strongest tribes in the Forbidden Land is their leader. Few know this, but he is almost—or perhaps even slightly—stronger than Eldrakar."
Evan was momentarily stunned upon hearing this, but he quickly regained his composure and sneered.
"So what if he is stronger than Eldrakar? Give me a few months, and even if I can't defeat him, escaping from him after causing trouble in his territory won't be difficult."
Anastasia was left speechless at Evan's audacity. Not only did he plan to provoke one of the strongest tribes in the Forbidden Land, but he also seemed confident in his ability to escape their retaliation.
Suddenly, Anastasia thought of something and asked, "Did you acquire something that can increase your strength quickly?"
Evan didn't answer her directly but smiled mysteriously. Then, as if remembering something, his expression shifted slightly.
"By the way, this time I met someone who wants to become your rival," He said with a smirk.
"My rival?" Anastasia looked at him in confusion.
"You will understand once I tell you everything that happened," Evan replied with a grin. "But before I tell you anything else, has your essence clone managing the Primordial Shadow Realm contacted you recently?"
Anastasia's confusion deepened, and she shook her head.
"Try to contact her," Evan said. "Ask her if anything has changed in the Primordial Shadow Realm recently."
