Chapter 225 Can Take It Now
Lin Yi didn't get back home until almost evening after dealing with the matter.
Since it was the weekend and Han Xue didn't have anything to do, she stayed at home.
Qin Xiaoxu had made plans with Han Xuewei to go out today, saying she wanted to learn some love secrets from Han Xuewei, so they went out together.
In fact, this was just an excuse for Qin Xiaoxu, who was simply bored at home and wanted to go shopping.
Since having a child, Han Xuewei seldom went shopping, and it was usually only when Qin Xiaoxu or Lin Yi dragged her out that she would agree to look around.
Somehow, after having a child, she lost interest in clothes and outfits, mostly wearing loose or casual clothing for comfort.
Plus, it made taking care of the baby easier, which she didn't mind at all.
Qin Xiaoxu had been in a good mood lately because the misunderstanding with Lin Jie had been cleared up, and their relationship had rapidly improved.
Lin Jie also realized the importance of taking the initiative. He had made a lot of progress recently, and they had become very intimate, though they hadn't moved in together yet. Ye Caiwei's work was going well, and she had already moved out of the place Qin Xiaoxu rented.
While out on the street today, Qin Xiaoxu led Han Xuewei into a branded shoe store, having noticed it in front of them.
As they entered, Qin Xiaoxu couldn't stop talking about Lin Jie's antics, making Han Xuewei laugh heartily every time.
Engrossed in conversation, they walked straight into the shoe store. It was only upon entering that Qin Xiaoxu saw the store's sign and said to Han Xuewei, "Vivi, I haven't been here before. It looks like it's new."
While the two were talking, a salesperson saw them and said, "Hello. All of our shoes are branded with a quality assurance, and there are professional designs by our designers. If you find something you like, feel free to pick something out."
Hearing the salesperson, Qin Xiaoxu looked at Han Xuewei and started browsing around. After a while, she turned to Han Xuewei and asked, "Vivi, you must be graduating soon, right? What do you plan to do after graduation?"
Having recently experienced the pain of unemployment, Qin Xiaoxu was quite curious about what kind of job someone as outstanding as Han Xuewei would take on.
Han Xuewei just smiled slightly and said, "Haven't I mentioned it before? I've been interested in art since I was young, and I've also learned to paint. If I get the chance, I definitely want to open a gallery. Even if I can't open one myself, I still want to be someone who holds exhibitions. Plus, I can teach my children through my paintings. I think that's quite nice."
With that, Han Xuewei simply smiled lightly.
"Is that really the case? But I feel that many things could change after getting married. You might not be able to fulfill your previous plans. You might even have to be a full-time housewife at home. But then again, being a full-time housewife isn't so bad since Lin Yi is a very responsible person, and he wouldn't let you suffer even if you stayed at home."
Qin Xiaoxu said this, holding a good impression of Lin Yi.
Hearing that, Han Xuewei just laughed and nodded her head.
"Well, you're not wrong about that. He does treat me very well and supports me even though I have career ambitions. Being a full-time housewife is also nice because I won't miss out on the children's growth. They change every day and grow up fast. But if I can't make it as an artist, I'm not sure what I'll do later on. I guess I'll just take it slowly!"
Han Xuewei seemed very relaxed, prompting Qin Xiaoxu to laugh, "How about we go into business together? We can open a shop selling shoes and clothes, and design our own favorite outfits. Just like this place, hiring some brilliant designers. Oh, we wouldn't need to hire actually; you're an artist, Vivi. We could design them ourselves and then sell them."
Now interested, Han Xuewei laughed, "That sounds pretty good."
"Right? I'll talk to my dad about it, get some startup funds, and you can come be my best designer when we open our shop."
"I haven't agreed yet, and you're already planning ahead," Han Xuewei quipped.
Laughing together, they continued their conversation. However, they'd been in the store for quite some time without any service. Then, Han Xuewei noticed a pair of silver shoes adorned with white diamonds ahead that looked very luxurious.
She was very fond of such items and couldn't hide her delight. Turning to the sales associates in black behind her, she began, "Excuse me…"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
But before Han Xuewei could finish, one of the sales associates in black gave a look of disdain, apparently rolling her eyes deliberately or involuntarily, and without even looking at Han Xuewei, interrupted, "Sorry ma'am, this pair of shoes only comes in a size 36, and the rest are smaller sizes. They won't fit you!"
Her condescending manner of speaking was irritating to hear.
After saying this, the sales associate walked over. Han Xuewei felt a bit awkward but didn't say much, just picked up another pair of shoes that somewhat resembled the silver, ornate ones and asked, "What about these?"
The sales associate in black responded dismissively, "I can check on that pair for you if you want them."
Without giving them a second glance, she had already decided that Han Xuewei and Qin Xiaoxu were not big spenders and didn't deserve her attention.
After all, the customers who came here usually had very individual tastes, and only those with such tastes would come for custom designs. Both Han Xuewei and Qin Xiaoxu were dressed very casually, clearly not the type who could afford their products.
So she didn't bother explaining in detail. Meanwhile, Qin Xiaoxu was somewhat unhappy and spoke up, "We need to try them to know if they fit. Please fetch them for us to try!"
"We'll take them if they're right." After Qin Xiaoxu spoke, the sales associate showed slight defiance.
Although she managed a smile, her words were less courteous as she said, "I'm sorry, miss. The warehouse is quite far from here, and searching there is a hassle. I can check for you, but if you decide not to buy after all the trouble, that wouldn't be too good, would it?"
