Chapter 351: Dragonite Vs Dragonite
Chapter 351: Dragonite Vs Dragonite
In the courtyard of the villa, surrounded by an eager audience, two Dragonites stood on the battlefield. Their gazes locked, and sparks of determination crackled in the air between them. "Dragonite?" Lance murmured, surprised that Naoki had chosen a Pokémon similar to his own for this climactic battle.
Around them, whispers of astonishment rippled through the trainers and researchers. Professor Oak's gaze darted between the two Dragonites.
"Two Dragonites... This is going to be a battle to remember."
The buzz spread among the spectators as they realized the gravity of the upcoming fight. "Dragonite vs. Dragonite," someone whispered. "But Lance's Dragonite is a legend. Can Naoki's measure up?"
On the second floor, Shauntal leaned eagerly against the terrace railing, her hands clasped tightly. "Two Dragonites going head-to-head! This is the kind of duel I've dreamed of writing about!" she exclaimed.
Caitlin, standing beside her, raised an eyebrow. "The Rancher of Paldea against Kanto's Dragon Master. What do you think, Cynthia?"
Cynthia's golden eyes narrowed as she observed the battlefield. "It's hard to say. Lance's Dragonite is legendary, but Naoki's seems well-trained. We'll have our answer soon."
Down on the field, Nemona raised her referee flag high, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "The final battle-Dragonite versus Dragonite-begins now!"
Naoki stretched out a hand toward his Dragonite. "Dragonite, this is what we've worked for. Show them what you're made of!"
"Oou!"
"Agility!" Naoki commanded.
Naoki's Dragonite responded, wings flaring as it launched itself forward in a blur of white light.
The audience gasped as Naoki's Dragonite disappeared in a streak of white, moving with uncanny agility. Lance's Dragonite barely had time to raise its arms defensively before the force of the charge slammed into it, pushing it back several steps.
Lance's expression remained calm. "Dragonite! Counter with Dragon Tail!"
Lance's Dragonite roared, its long tail glowing bright green as it lashed out with precision. The attack struck Naoki's Dragonite mid-air, sending it skidding backward.
"Thunder Punch!" Naoki shouted, wasting no time.
Electricity surged along Naoki's Dragonite's claw as it charged forward again, fist crackling with energy. Lance's Dragonite sidestepped expertly, the punch grazing past its scales.
"Too aggressive," Lance noted quietly. "Fire Punch!"
In one fluid motion, Lance's Dragonite retaliated, its fist ablaze with fiery energy. The strike connected with Naoki's Dragonite's abdomen, eliciting a sharp grunt of pain as it staggered backward.
From the sidelines, Professor Oak observed intently. "Naoki's Dragonite is fast and powerful, but it seems to lack the battle-hardened experience of Lance's."
Naoki clenched his fists, quickly analyzing the situation. 'Dragonite isn't used to fighting opponents this skilled in close combat. We need to change tactics.'
As Naoki weighed his options, Lance didn't let up. "Dragonite, Hyper Beam!"
The air vibrated as Lance's Dragonite opened its maw, energy crackling and gathering into a blinding golden beam.
"Dodge!" Naoki yelled.
Naoki's Dragonite flapped its wings fiercely, spinning upward in a spiraling motion just as the Hyper Beam blasted through the space it had occupied moments before. The attack struck the ground, leaving a charred crater in its wake.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The crowd erupted in cheers, marveling at the intense exchange.
"Good evasion!" Naoki encouraged. "Dragon Pulse!"
"OUU!"
Naoki's Dragonite gathered a swirling orb of draconic energy between its claws and hurled it at its opponent. The pulse sped toward Lance's Dragonite, who swerved at the last second, the blast grazing its wing.
Lance nodded approvingly. "Impressive, but not enough! Dragonite, Thunder Punch!"
The two Dragonites clashed mid-air, lightning and energy crackling with every blow exchanged.
Naoki's mind raced. 'If I go for Rain Dance and Thunder, Lance will counter immediately. I need something unexpected...'
In the courtyard of the villa, the crowd stood breathless as the tension in the air grew palpable. Two Dragonites clashed in mid-air, their roars echoing across the grounds like thunder. Both were battered and bruised, their determination burning brighter with every passing moment.
Lance's Dragonite hovered, its piercing gaze locked onto its opponent. At Lance's command, the Pokémon unleashed another devastating Hyper Beam, its body rigid with focus as a bright, destructive beam of energy surged forward.
"Dodge it!" Naoki called out, his voice tight with urgency.
Naoki's Dragonite reacted instinctively, banking hard to the right. The beam scorched the air, grazing its wing by mere inches before slamming into the ground. Dust and debris rose like a shroud, momentarily obscuring the field.
"That was close!" gasped one of the onlookers, their heart pounding as if they were in the battle themselves.
Naoki's mind raced. 'I need a strategy that doesn't just react but forces Lance to play on the back
foot.'
His opponent's Dragonite was a veteran, and Lance's commands were swift, precise, and ruthless.
"Dragonite, let's hit back-Thunderbolt!"
His Dragonite roared in response, summoning electrical energy from deep within. A web of lightning crackled across its scales before surging outward in a jagged, brilliant arc toward
Lance's Dragonite.
"Dragon Dance!" Lance commanded calmly, his tone unwavering.
Lance's Dragonite began to spin, its movements so fluid and rapid that it appeared as a golden blur. The Thunderbolt struck the spinning Pokémon, but rather than hitting cleanly, the energy dissipated across its scales, scattered by the momentum of the rotation. Naoki's jaw tightened. "He's using Dragon Dance to neutralize ranged attacks..."
Professor Oak observed the battle with unwavering focus from the sidelines.
"Fascinating. Lance's Dragonite is using Dragon Dance to counter Naoki's offensives. But Naoki's Dragonite... it's resourceful. This battle isn't over yet."
Above, Naoki's Dragonite growled, frustration flickering in its eyes. It wasn't just battling an opponent-it was battling experience itself.
"Stay calm," Naoki said, his voice steadying as he refocused. "You've got this. Hit it with a
Hyper Beam!"
His Dragonite inhaled sharply, gathering energy deep within its core. A vibrant, golden beam erupted from its maw, racing toward its opponent with relentless ferocity.
"Dodge and counter with Dragon Claw!" Lance shouted.
Lance's Dragonite veered upward at incredible speed, narrowly evading the Hyper Beam. Without missing a beat, its claws began to glow with a fiery crimson aura as it dove straight toward Naoki's Dragonite, unleashing a relentless flurry of swipes and slashes.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Naoki countered.
The two Dragonites collided in a spectacular clash of strength and power. Their claws sparked with energy as they traded blow for blow, their movements almost too fast for the human eye to follow. Each strike sent shockwaves rippling through the air, and the crowd could feel the intensity of their struggle as if they were in the midst of it.
Lance smirked. "You've trained it well, but can it handle this?"
"Dragonite, Outrage!"
Lance's Dragonite roared, its body surging with raw energy. Its scales seemed to ignite with a fiery glow as it launched a relentless, feral assault. Each strike was more powerful than the last, and Naoki's Dragonite struggled to keep up under the sheer ferocity of the attack. Naoki's heart pounded. "Dragonite, evade with Extreme Speed! Don't let it overwhelm you!"
His Dragonite moved like lightning, weaving, and darting through the onslaught with remarkable agility. But Lance's Dragonite was unrelenting, its attacks growing more erratic and forceful with every second.
"It's Outrage!" Cynthia murmured from the balcony above. "A devastating move, but it leaves the user vulnerable once its effects subside."
Naoki knew this too. His Dragonite's eyes met his, filled with determination.
"Come on! Dragonite."
The air around Naoki's Dragonite surged with intensity, reaching its top speed. It managed to create just enough distance from Lance's relentless Dragonite, which was still in pursuit. Time ticked by, each second adding to the tension as everyone at the dinner turned their attention skyward. All eyes were on the fierce aerial battle between the two Pokémon. The weather seemed to reflect the combatants' struggle. A sudden, strong wind howled through the battlefield, carrying with it an ominous, swirling air current. The skies darkened, and the faint hint of a brewing storm sent a ripple of unease through the spectators. Guests clutched at their hats and fine attire as gusts tugged at them. The trainers among the crowd exchanged puzzled and astonished glances.
"Is that... a storm?" one murmured, pointing toward the sky.
"But why is the impact so extreme?!" another exclaimed.
The realization hit them: the Dragonite invoking the storm was Naoki's.
Naoki's Dragonite was using its storm to hinder its pursuer. The ferocious gusts forced
Lance's Dragonite to momentarily falter, buying Naoki precious time.
From the sidelines, Lance's expression turned grave. This wasn't the straightforward battle
he had anticipated.
"That Dragonite's stamina and control are on a whole other level..." Lance muttered, his eyes
narrowing in focus.
Naoki caught Lance's solemn expression and smirked. 'Not bad for all those milk deliveries,' he thought, a flicker of pride glimmering in his gaze.
High above the battlefield, Lance's Dragonite began to stabilize. The once-rigid scales along
its body lowered, signaling the end of its Outrage-induced frenzy. Yet, its energy and speed
didn't falter.
Riding the favorable airflow, Naoki's Dragonite glided effortlessly, occasionally glancing back at its pursuer as if to provoke it.
Lance's Dragonite didn't take kindly to this. Frustrated and humiliated from the extended
chase, it roared and surged forward with a burst of speed, its body becoming a streak of motion.
The collision was brutal. Lance's Dragonite rammed into Naoki's with a force that sent the latter spiraling downward. Naoki's Dragonite tumbled through the air, narrowly regaining control just before hitting the ground.
Breathing heavily, both Dragonites stood on opposing sides of the battlefield, glaring at each other with unwavering determination.
Naoki's eyes gleamed with confidence. The time was near.
"Dragonite, are you still with me?" Naoki called out. His voice was steady but filled with
urgency.
"Awoo-rah!" Dragonite responded, its fists clenched and eyes glowing with resolve.
Hearing this, Lance immediately understood that the Dragonite on the opposite side was close to its limit in terms of physical strength and stamina.
He saw the exchange and made his move. "Dragonite, let's finish this! Use Flame thrower!"
The bait was taken!
Lance's Dragonite roared, its maw aglow as it gathered a concentrated beam of destructive
fire energy. The air around it crackled with raw power, and even spectators stepped back from
the intensity.
Naoki seized the moment. "Now!"
Dragonite understood immediately.
Its eyes lit up with a gleam of excitement, replacing its usual docility with unwavering determination. Locking onto the incoming energy, it readied itself for a decisive moment.
As the devastating Flame Thrower hurtled closer, Naoki's Dragonite suddenly surged upward with a powerful beat of its wings, narrowly evading the attack.
Lance's heart tightened at the sight, his expression shifting to one of disbelief. "How is that
possible?!" he exclaimed, unable to comprehend how Naoki's Dragonite still had the strength to make such a move.
The next moment, the very scenario Lance feared most unfolded. The sky darkened as a sudden torrential downpour began, catching everyone off guard. Trainers and spectators alike were confused by the abrupt shift in weather, but those who
recognized the subtle movements of Naoki's Dragonite were quick to connect the dots. Dragonite's mastery over Rain Dance was unparalleled. Without even raising its arms, it summoned the rain effortlessly, almost as if the storm itself obeyed its will. Thunderclouds churned ominously overhead, and the air grew heavy with anticipation.
Professor Oak, standing amidst the spectators, leaned forward with wide eyes. "I didn't
expect it to be such proficient with Rain Dance," he muttered, his voice tinged with
astonishment.
A deafening clap of thunder echoed across the battlefield. Bright flashes of lightning streaked
through the sky, illuminating the scene with an electric ferocity. The tension was palpable as the storm reached its peak.
Lance's heart sank. It was too late to counter. His Dragonite, still recovering from its
exhaustive efforts, stared at the brewing storm above. The realization struck like a hammer- Naoki's strategy had cornered them.
Naoki's smile widened, his confidence unwavering. "Checkmate," he said softly. With a thunderous roar, the Dragonite released a devastating Thunder attack. The lightning
bolt tore through the sky, its brilliance lighting up the battlefield. The strike hit Lance's Dragonite directly, the sheer force engulfing it in a blinding flash.
The crowd gasped as the current surged through Dragonite's scales, bypassing its natural
resistance and overwhelming its strength. Lance's Dragonite roared in pain before its massive frame collapsed onto the soaked ground with a resounding thud.
...
The storm gradually subsided. The rain ceased, the thunderclouds dissipated, and the
battlefield fell into a hushed stillness. The air was thick with awe as the spectators took in the aftermath of the battle.
Giovanni, his suit damp from the rain, observed the scene silently before turning away and
heading back into the manor. On the second floor, Caitlin, who had been watching intently,
stood abruptly, her expression a mixture of disbelief and admiration. "He really won..." she whispered.
Shauntal adjusted her glasses, her eyes glinting with inspiration. "A flawless execution," she
remarked. "He used Rain Dance to amplify Thunder's accuracy but delayed its use until the perfect moment. Ingenious!" Cynthia nodded thoughtfully. "Not just the timing. That Dragonite's proficiency with Rain Dance is extraordinary. Combined with its endurance, it was able to bridge the gap in combat experience. Truly remarkable."

Back on the battlefield, Nemona raised her flag high, her voice brimming with excitement.
"Lance's Dragonite has been defeated! Naoki wins the match!"
The crowd erupted into applause, their initial shock giving way to admiration for the
spectacular display of strategy and skill. Nemona herself was bursting with excitement. "That was incredible!"
Naoki's Dragonite, its energy spent but its spirit undiminished trotted back to Naoki with an
expression that looked like it was asking for praise. Naoki smiled warmly, pulling out a bottle of his signature goat milk. "You were amazing out there." Dragonite tilted its head back, chugging the milk with satisfaction before licking the last drop off its mouth. Naoki chuckled as he returned it to its Poké Ball for a well-deserved rest. On the opposite side, Lance knelt beside his Dragonite, gently recalling it to its ball. Despite
the loss, his face broke into a sincere smile. "I lost... but that battle was incredible. It's been a
long time since I've felt this exhilarated. Thank you, Naoki."
Naoki approached with a grin, his Koraidon and other Pokémon trailing behind. He extended a
few bottles of goat milk to Lance. "Here, give these to your Pokémon. They'll help them
recover quickly."
