Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 91 A Dish That Turned A Noble Into A Dog

"Do you want to order the Siren's Melody Poached Egg?" Lily asked, startling him from his daze. She knew that with his Tendon Tempering Realm Mage Rank, he could only order the Siren's Melody Poached Egg. Therefore, she did not ask him about the Sous Vide Filet Mignon.

Hearing her words, Li Yong scrunched his brows together and glanced at Sir James and the middle-aged figure sitting opposite of him.

The dish's price was not the issue, it was the boldly written lies.

But after recalling the delicious aroma that wafted into his nose and their expressions of pure joy, he nodded to the waitress as he handed her the menu, "I'll have one serving of the Siren's Melody Poached Egg."

"Okay, Please wait a moment." Lily's voice was still hoarse, making her sound a lot older than she actually was.

Meanwhile, the young monk Anselm and the five others had made their way to the entrance.

However, before they could enter, the guard at the entrance blocked their path, "State your business." He demanded.

"Amitabha." Anselm bowed with his hands clasped together. "This poor monk only wishes to partake in Owner Lucian's heavenly dishes. I mean no harm."

"Chef Lucian only has two dishes on the menu — the Siren's Melody Poached Egg and Sous Vide Filet Mignon. Both of which are not suitable for a monk. So you should go back." The guard kindly advised. Because he had been stationed near the restaurant, he obviously knew the names of the dishes.

Anselm sighed and shook his head, "Aiya, benefactor Guard, as a Theravada Buddhist monk, this poor monk is proficient in the teachings of Buddha. Buddha is merciful and doesn't want us frail, poor monks to die. He is a compassionate Soul who allows us to eat fish and meat as long as they are not seen, heard, or suspected to be killed for us monks."

'And even if he didn't allow it there's still Mara who would gladly allow this poor monk to dine in the seven deadly sins.' He chuckled inwardly with a bit of drool leaking from his lips, which he quickly licked up with his tongue.

After hearing the monk's words, the guard and even the five others were taken aback. It was the first time they encountered a monk wanting to eat an animal product.

"What about you all? Is your reason for coming here the same as the young monk?" The guard asked the others after being momentarily stunned by the shameless monk. What he consumed was up to him.

The others simply nodded. They were too stunned by the shameless monk to respond with actual words.

However, before the guard could open his mouth to ask Chef Lucian whether they could enter the restaurant an indifferent voice sounded from the kitchen.

"Transcendence is closed for the day. Please come back tomorrow."

The voice unmistakably belonged to Lucian.

Immediately, the expressions of joy on their faces froze.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crack*

Their dreams shattered into fragments like a mirror.

'Closed…' That word repeated in their minds.

"You all heard Chef Lucian, come back tomorrow." The guard said to them after a while.

"But… What about him?" One of them pointed at the chubby young man and said.

"Yeah, that's right. Why is the restaurant not closed for him?" Another chimed in, his courage bolstered after one of them spoke.

"Why, you ask? Because I said so." Lucian indifferently said from within the kitchen as he cracked an egg into a saucepan. "Now leave before you all are blacklisted from my restaurant."

As Lucian finished speaking, the barrier activated, blocking their line of sight of him.

Though they were furious by the obvious mistreatment, they obediently left the Orchard Family area. However, they did not return to their tents. They wanted to see if the restaurant was truly closed or if the owner had something against them.

"Amitabha, Buddha is merciful." Anselm, who had not spoken after being stunned by Lucian's words and merely watched from the side, finally spoke as he released his clasped hands, revealing a golden flame, which illuminated their surroundings but was small enough not to wake up the sleeping Mages.

The flame warmed their cold bodies from the cold night wind and somehow gave them the ability to see through the darkness of the night.

"What the heck is this flame? I've never seen a flame with such properties."

"It's called Buddha's Flame." Anselm simply said.

They waited for him to explain further, but after a minute of silence, they frowned but did not push him for answers.

The pressure that radiated from the flame was a pressure that could only belong to a Bone Tempering Realm Mage. Therefore, they wisely kept their mouths shut. Maybe, if he was a real monk they would have asked him to explain, but it was clear to them that the young monk had gone rogue. He was a monk, who had fallen into temptation.

A few minutes later, the barrier vanished, and Lily eagerly walked over to carry the food.

Immediately after she left the confines of the kitchen, the barrier sprung up, blocking their view.

A rich fragrance filled with warmth emanated in waves from the dish, sending jolts of pleasure through Li Yong's body.

Even James could not help but look at the dish with envy despite having already eaten.

As for the four guards stationed in each cardinal direction of the makeship restaurant, they felt that it was complete torture. They wanted nothing more than to trade stations with the other guards.

Sometimes, ignorance was bliss. If they had not witnessed Chef Lucian's dish, then their lives would have continued normally. But now… their minds were filled with nothing but wanting to devour his food.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Alas, even as guards of the Orchard Family, they could not just throw away five Low-Grade Mana Stones for a dish — no matter how delicious it smelled.

As Li Yong smelled the delicious aroma getting closer to him, his eyes glazed over, and a wide smile graced his face.

"It smells really good!" He exclaimed.

Just the aroma caused his stomach to rumble in anticipation and excitement.

Soon, a white, gold-rimmed plate was placed before him. Aromatic smoke brushed against his face as he took in deep wafts of it.

"Delicious." Without caring about table manners that were drilled into him since he was conscious of his surroundings, he dug into the poached egg.

He was like a starved wolf, as he took in mouthfuls of the delicious poached egg.

Soon, blue yolk painted his lips as it dripped down. However, before it could fall onto the table, he caught it in his cupped hands, then like a dog lapped up the delicious blue yolk off his hands.

"It can't be that delicious, right?" One of the Mages said in shock after witnessing the chubby young man's actions.

"Those clothes he's wearing look pretty expensive. He should be from a fairly rich and respectable family, yet he looks no different than a dog!"

A Mage who had once visited Fire Cloud City, said, "That young man is from the Fire Cloud City's Li Family. His name is Li Yong. Even though he isn't the heir to the family, he is still the young master of the family. For him to be acting like a ravenous wolf is truly an eye-opener. I can't help but imagine just how delicious that food must be for him to disregard his dignity."

Just as he finished speaking, the barrier vanished and a slim, handsome figure holding a white, gold-rimmed plate walked out.

*Woosh*

A light breeze swept by, carrying a rich, meaty fragrance from the dish through the air.

Yet, for some inexplicable reason, the fragrant aroma remained locked within the open restaurant.

Unbeknownst to Lucian and the others, it was the System's doing.

Invisible to all, except to those who transcended the Universe, a Soul Power beyond comprehension locked the space, preventing the smell from escaping the restaurant.

The aroma was so potent that as soon as the barrier opened, James and Fenwick awoke from absorbing Mana. Unconsciously, they took in deep wafts of it. It was truly too fragrant.

Even Li Yong stopped licking his plate. He was too dazed by the concentrated fragrant aroma.

The smell was so nice that he even felt that if he were to die now, he would die with a smile on his drooling face.

It was just that delicious.

"Your Sous Vide Filet Mignons. Thank you for waiting," Lucian said as he placed the plates before James and Fenwick, who were drooling with a knife and fork already in their hands.

The aroma of the filet mignons rose up and impacted them, causing their cheeks and eyes to turn red.

"Ahh~ such a nice wine fragrance. It's mellow yet-" Experience tales at empire

"Rich." Fenwick finished for James. "I can already taste the dish without even eating!"

James uncontrollably gulped. He had never smelled such a wonderful-smelling steak before.
