Chapter 52 Mage Vs Mage
"Elvan? Wait, isn't he the solo mage? What does he have to do with you?"
Elsa, Daniels, or even the entire Dimension Justice and Sky Sword group knew very well who Elvan was.
He was famous for his arrogance and crazy fantasy. Elsa said so to Aaron because he always invited whoever he thought was strong to explore the Dark Pillar.
"But you said you get the soul core from the hidden artifact. Is it true?" asked Daniels.
Aaron smiled, sitting back and leaning against the couch's back. Elsa sat next to Daniels, both sitting on different couches from Aaron.
"The soul core I got from the Dark Dimension. It's a bit hard to explain, but it did happen."
"Dark Dimension? I've never heard about it before."
"Such a place has not yet been recorded in the history of Earth magic. It's only natural that you don't know about it," Aaron said.
"Are there many of them? You can get two servants now with your age."
"I counted that there are probably hundreds of them."
"Hundreds?"
Daniels and Elsa couldn't hide their surprise, never having expected Aaron to have a hidden treasure of his own.
There was no specific limit on how many servants a mage had to have, but summoning servants required MP.
The more servants summoned, the greater the amount of MP needed. Daniels nodded in understanding, slowly learning the reason why Aaron wanted the MP Crystal so badly.
"Can you give me one?" asked Daniels. Aaron refused politely while shaking his head.
"I don't mean to be presumptuous, Mr. Daniels. But, all soul cores are identical to the Dark Element. If your element is not that element, I'm afraid it won't work."
"Is that so, huh? How unfortunate."
Elsa started asking about Aaron's future plans, especially about the raid opening soon. Aaron said he would participate in the raid this time.
His main objective was to defeat the floor boss and quickly get to the fifth floor.
"The floor boss on the fourth floor dark pillar is a Black Slime Alien Monster, level 45, with the water element. Someone told me about it. He survived after their group leader committed suicide," Daniels revealed.
"Suicide? Why?"
"It was a small group called the Blue Dragons. They realized they couldn't defeat the floor boss."
"Instead of having all the members killed, it was better for him to die. Truly, the sacrifice of a leader."
Aaron didn't expect such an incident to happen in this place. Daniels echoed Elsa's words, saying that many such incidents happened, most of which were experienced by small groups of adventurers.
There were several reasons why they were desperate to challenge the floor boss. Either they believed they could beat it or wanted to climb the floor without realizing their capabilities.
"Not knowing one's capacity is foolish. It will lead one to death," Daniels explains.
"Will Dimension Justice and Sky Sword be joining the raid?" Aaron asked.
"Yeah. I've sent a message to the raid team for this monster raid. Their job is just to clear the monsters along the path to the floor boss and find other routes in the maze," said Daniels.
"If you want, you can join our team."
Aaron shook his head as he thanked Daniels for the kind offer. Joining another team would benefit him, but the two groups' objectives were different.
Dimension Justice's raid team would only be mapping the maze while Aaron planned to defeat the Slime monsters.
"I'll stay with my team," Aaron said, Daniel smiled, unable to refuse Aaron's decision.
Just when the three were talking to each other, a notification panel appeared before the young man. It said in the panel that someone sent him a message.
[One Incoming Message]
[You Have An Unread Message]
Aaron immediately opened the message by pressing the panel. Another medium-sized panel appeared with the sender and message content.
[Sender: Isabella]
[Hi, Aaron. Where are you? The others and I have bought some items to help us during tomorrow's raid. As for the preparations themselves, I'm fully prepared. The others probably are, too.]
"Is he a friend of your group?"
"Yeah. She's Isabella."
"Then I'll take my leave. They're already waiting for me there. I have to prepare for tonight's raid," Aaron said, feeling like he had the answer to the possible main perpetrator of the terror on him.
Daniels nodded. He rose from his seat and reached out, the two shaking hands warmly. Elsa smiled at their closeness, two people with terrifying yet powerful abilities.
Aaron said goodbye and walked away, Elsa and Daniels escorted him to the front door of the residence.
"Did you say you wanted to invite him to join Dimension Justice?" Elsa asked.
"No, I didn't. After seeing his attitude, I dare not block his abilities and desires. He should stay with his friends."
As time passed, the notification panel about raid announcements being opened disappeared. Now, it was replaced with a notification panel that a monster raid had been opened.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Aaron had prepared everything, from items and self-preparation. Isabella and the others were similar; even Isabella had summoned her servant beast to accompany Aaron's group's monster raid this time.
[Monster Raid at Dark Pillar Fourth Floor opened]
[Portal closed countdown]
[00:09:59:59]
It was quiet on the main street of the city. The shops began to close early because they realized that many adventurers were going to Dark Pillar.
They had left an hour ago before the monster raid opened, waiting eagerly at the door of Dark Pillar.
"Has Alisha replied to your message yet?" asked Aaron. Liel shook his head with a sad look on his face.
"After the floor boss is defeated, we'll go look for Alisha's whereabouts. I don't mind if I have to delay going to the fifth floor," said Aaron.
The young man's words suddenly moved Liel. Her eyes were teary and sparkling, continuing to look at Aaron with a heart of admiration and gratitude. Isabella didn't mind either. After all, Alisha was still her best friend.
"Maybe she's already at the Dark Pillar to join this raid. We might be able to meet there."
"I hope so."
Aaron and his group departed the inn after staying for four days. The fairly quiet streets in the city made Aaron more cautious, fearing that the terror threat like yesterday would happen again.
"Liel," Aaron called. Liel understood what the young man meant.
The woman summoned her blood dagger while Aaron raised the well-controlled purple flames in his left hand. The attitude shown by the two of them certainly made Isabella curious.
"What's wrong?" asked Isabella, having no idea.
Aaron and Liel chose to remain silent and focus on the area around them. They continued to step cautiously until they passed through the city gate.
Feeling that his fears didn't happen, Aaron began to relax his guard. Liel saw Aaron's attitude, so she began to follow him.
The dense forest was passed, there was no real threat to Aaron's group. The Dark Pillar tower was clearly displayed from a distance with the doors already open.
One Dark Pillar tower had 20 doors that could be passed through, and all the doors led to the same place, the floor boss.
Although they saw the tower, all the adventurers had already entered and explored the maze. Aaron's group was the last group to participate in the monster raid this time.
[ANNOUNCEMENT!]

[Countdown for Closed Gate:]
[00:09:59:59]
Among them all, only Aaron was the one who knew the boss monster. Isabella gasped, not knowing how Aaron could know the floor boss's identity.
"How did you find out about the floor boss?" Isabella asked.
"I went to visit Daniels and Elsa when you guys left. They told me a lot about this floor boss."
Isabella nodded in understanding with Aaron's words. Although they were confident of defeating the floor boss, but it was certain that they didn't hold any maps. The best option would be to ask other adventurers.
Just as Aaron took a right at the first intersection, they were surprised by the black smoke that appeared to surround them. Aaron realized that this was poison.
"Don't inhale this. It's poisonous!" said Aaron.
Aaron knocked the poison away with a powerful hand swing using his darkness element. Just as the poison was removed, the young man's eyes narrowed sharply at the sight of 20 people surrounding him.
"Damn! I expected it. You guys have been terrorizing us since yesterday, right?!" said Aaron, annoyed.
"That's right. If only you hadn't pissed me off that time, maybe I wouldn't have asked for their help to kill you."
The voice seemed familiar to Aaron. Sure enough, Elvan came out of the crowd surrounding Aaron. However, Alisha's presence was nowhere to be seen near Elvan.
"Elvan!" growled Aaron.
"Now, you and your friends will die here!"
What do you think?
