Chapter 58 Mythological Race Item
"Wait. Is it possible?" asked Aaron as he glanced to the side, looking at Isabella.
The woman shook her head. As long as she had been in the Dark Pillar Tower, she had never seen a mythological race in person.
People mentioned them as fairy tales or legends. What remained of them were only blood vials that became artifacts for summoning servants of mythological races.
"I've never met any of them. Still, if you are indeed a bloodline of the dragon race, why did you tell us about it?" Isabella asked.
"Because I thought I could trust you two. I cannot trust any human other than you," replied Sokia, making Aaron exhale heavily.
"I need proof you're really a dragon."
"I can show it, but I need a private place away from people," Sokia replied.
Aaron knew the right place for Sokia to show her true identity. The young man went to take Sokia and Isabella back to the bedroom at the inn.
People were still paying attention to Aaron, but none of them dared to bother the young man. Apart from the red title with the murderer written on it, he also had two soul servants as his protectors.
The three walked through and arrived at Aaron's bedroom. Isabella closed the door immediately while Aaron pulled the window curtains.
The lights were on in the room, helping light up the place and making it easier for Sokia to show her true identity.
Sokia stayed silent for a while in doubt, even though in the tavern earlier, she was very confident she could show her dragon horns and tail to Aaron and Isabella.
After trying to convince herself, Sokia cleared her throat and clenched her hands tightly. Her eyes looked confidently straight ahead, at Aaron and Isabella standing beside each other.
She took off the beanie she wore and sagged the skirt she put on. Aaron gasped, a pretty brave move in his eyes.
From under the skirt, Sokia seemed to be wearing a pair of shorts that weren't very tight. Aaron and Isabella stared intently ahead, seeing the red horns rising from the top of Sokia's head and a red scaly tail of considerable size, almost the size of Sokia's thighs.
Aaron was shocked but not as curious as Isabella. Isabella stepped forward and walked around Sokia, occasionally holding Sokia's tail and tapping the girl's red horns; truly authentic.
"This is my first time seeing a dragon descendant," Isabella replied.
"Me as well."
"Then, what is the reason the humans are hunting and capturing those of your race?" asked Aaron, curious with his arms crossed.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"They want to take our bones, hearts, blood, and all the things in our bodies to improve their abilities, such as to improve their weapons," replied Sokia.
Aaron remembered the names of weapons that contained materials from dragons, such as dragon hearts, dragon bones, and dragon wings.
At first, Aaron thought the items were obtained from dragon carcasses that died decades ago, but after Sokia explained, he found out that humans had to kill them first to get the items.
"That's terrible," said Isabella, sympathizing.
"Then, are you still unable to transform into a large dragon?" asked Aaron. Sokia shook her head.
The girl explained carefully about the two stages of a dragon becoming a perfect dragon, the first being entering the Dragonkin period and the second being a perfect dragon. To become a perfect dragon, one must spend 100 years.
"I still can't. I'm still in the dragonkin phase."
Aaron nodded in reply. Still, he couldn't determine whether he could allow her to come with him. Isabella stared at Aaron, her eyes wide and meaning as if she were persuading Aaron to let Sokia stay with them.
"Please, Aaron. I will take care of her. I promise," said Isabella.
The longer Isabella begged, the closer her body was to Aaron's body. That certainly made Aaron awkward. In the end, Aaron agreed to Isabella's wish, hoping she could stay away from him for a while.
Isabella jumped for joy. She ran over to Sokia and hugged the girl. Her hand seemed to stroke Sokia's hair to make her feel comfortable around Isabella.
Aaron smiled faintly, seeing their closeness, which slowly made his heart begin to improve.
Aaron stepped forward and crouched right before Sokia until their eyes met and locked. "What is your basic element, Sokia?"
"Fire," Sokia replied briefly.
"Of course, Fire."
"Then what about your level? Your Talent? And your age?" asked Aaron. He needed to know everything since Sokia would be part of his team.
"About that...."
Sokia pressed two times on the necklace she was wearing. Shortly after that, a red panel with white writing appeared before Sokia, and the number of sections in the profile menu panel was almost the same as most humans. But, there was something that surprised Aaron.

"It says your race is a dragon, but you're older than me," Aaron replied.
"Actually, I've lived for 50 years in human time, but I'm still only 28," Sokia replied, shocking Aaron and Isabella.
'If she's lived that long, is there any chance she knows something about the Compensation Slip?' Aaron asked, curious.
"Hey, Sokia. There's something I have to ask you. Do you mind?" asked Aaron.
Sokia shook her head. She let Aaron ask anything because maybe the girl knew. Even if she didn't know, she would help Aaron find the answer to the question.
"Do you know anything about the Compensation Slip?" asked Aaron, looking strongly at Sokia.
"Compensation Slip?"
"Wait a second!"
Aaron narrowed his eyes, looking at the inventory panel owned by Sokia. Isabella stepped slowly towards Aaron, then whispered right in the young man's ear.
Isabella said Sokia's storage area was very large, capable of holding 500 items quietly. This was certainly different from Aaron and Isabella, who could accommodate only 100 items.
"She can help us a lot, Aaron," Isabella whispered.
"I know. Her item storage quota is amazing," Aaron praised.
"Ah, I found it!"
Sokia's words certainly surprised Aaron and Isabella. From Sokia's two hands, the girl dropped seven compensation slip items that were green in color and still had a quota of three times.
Aaron was startled; seeing the compensation slips was like seeing gold bars in his eyes. Aaron crouched down, picked up a few compensation slips, then pressed the slips for a long time.
[Item Details:]
[Name: Compensation Slips]
[Number of compensation quotas: 3]
[Description: Provides three times the compensation along with a 20% STR, INT, and DEX nerf to red title hosts who want to join the raid forcefully].
[WARNING!]
[Killing other adventurers within the compensation period will cause the compensation slip to be forfeited, and they will not be able to use it again]
'Woah, they still have the compensation amount intact. If it is like this, I can certainly join the monster raid.'
"How is it? I'm great, right?" asked Sokia. Aaron nodded as he cleared his throat, his right hand stretched forward to rub Sokia's head.
"You were great. You really helped me with this," Aaron replied. Explore more adventures at empire
Aaron's words suddenly made Sokia blush. Her face flushed bright red, trying to avoid Aaron's direct eyes. She walked forward to hug Isabella's body, feeling happy because Aaron praised her.
Aaron took all the compensation slips and saved them in his digital storage. He asked Sokia about how she got the compensation slips.
Sokia explained that adventurers did it. They died and dropped all their belongings, including the compensation slips. The seven slips had been collected over the past 25 years.
"If you have things like this, why don't you try to sell them and buy food?" Isabella asked.
"Our system is different from yours. Your system is in the watch, while races like us are in our necklaces or bracelets. It's already suspicious enough if we make a transaction," replied Sokia.
"She's right, especially when many humans are targeting her life," said Aaron.
Aaron crouched before Sokia, then lightly patted the girl's shoulder with eyes full of optimism, "Don't worry. You're safe with us. Tell me, what do you want?"
"I want to eat a large piece of grilled meat."
"Haha, well, tomorrow we'll go to that tavern again."
What do you think?
