Saga of Atlantis

Chapter 194 Underground [5]

BAAM!!

With a loud crash, the door holding the creatures burst open, and one by one, they began to walk out.

"RUN!!"

I screamed, looking at Nadya and Elysia, who followed my words, rushing toward the other side of the white hall room.

I walked behind them, turning around to look at the creatures.

They had pale skin with twisted mouths, dripping saliva on the ground.

They all looked gruesome with ugly faces. Some walked on two legs while others moved on all fours.

Naked, they all looked forward before running behind us.

It should have been terrifying, seeing hundreds of these creatures rushing toward us, trying to eat us alive,

but...

"Why are they so small?" I mumbled, squinting my eyes, looking between their legs.

"They are not small; you are just too big!!" Nadya replied, glancing at me.

"Stop boosting his ego," Elysia chimed in, glaring at her sister.

"...You can't deny that, though," Nadya rebuked, making her sister fall silent.

Man...

....I love her so much.

"Anyway, what are those?" Elysia exclaimed, glancing back.

"Some kind of experiments," I replied as I looked at them.

"Wait, what are they doing?" Elysia asked, frowning and looking back.

...Hmm?

...Wait, are they eating each other?

I noticed the ones in the back rushing forward, taking huge chunks of flesh from the ones ahead of them.

Slowly but surely, they started eating the weaker ones before running toward us.

Stay tuned with empire

'Are they growing stronger?'

I wondered, touching the ring on my hand.

The ring immediately turned into a beautiful golden spear that I twirled around as we reached the other end of the white hall.

"Is it a dead end?" I asked, turning to face the monsters.

"I think there is a door, but it's closed," Elysia replied, touching a distinct white area.

"Find a way to open it," I ordered as I looked at the creatures in front of us.

The aura in my body swirled, filling and strengthening my entire muscles as I took a step forward.

The world around me blurred, and I found myself in the middle of the creatures.

They turned their attention toward me as the first one lunged. I sidestepped its trajectory, my spear blurring in my hand as I drove it through the creature's chest.

It let out a guttural scream before collapsing to the ground, lifeless.

I barely had time to pull my spear free before two more attacked from either side.

I spun around, my spear a blur as I parried one set of claws and drove the bottom of my weapon into the other's face.

The creature staggered back, momentarily dazed.

Using its off-balance against it, I thrust my spear through its heart, ending its threat.

But there were too many of them, tens of them jumping at me simultaneously.

"Huuu..."

I took a deep breath to calm myself before I closed my eyes.

{Star Sense}

The Star Energy within me surged, becoming an extension of my senses, making a 3-D map of my surroundings.

Thinking quickly, I selected eight points within a ten-meter area before joining them with a thin thread of Star Energy, making a cube.

"Slow down."

A cold voice escaped my mouth as I gently opened my eyes.

And...

....Every creature within the ten-meter area slowed to the point that they looked like snails.

....Ever since I got those books from the underground dungeon, I have always wanted to try this:

....using the space notes around me to make a pseudo-domain.

A place where everything is within my control.

I slowly walked toward one of them as it tried to use its claws to attack me.

Bringing my open palm close to its face, I clenched my fist.

And the next instant, its head burst, its body suspended in the air, slowly falling down.

I held my spear firmly as I looked at the creatures.

"Shift."

At my word, the cube-like structure shifted.

I remained still on the

ground

, but what was

ground

for them before had now turned into the

ceiling.

They hovered in the air, unable to do anything.

"Draupnir, multiply."

The golden spear in my hand turned into multiple spears, arranging themselves neatly around me as I looked up at the creatures.

"Fall."

As soon as the words escaped my mouth, all of them fell down helplessly, their bodies skewered on the spears.

Their guts and blood spilled on the ground as I looked around.

Thirty or so of them died without a single chance to fight back.

"Sigh..."

I sighed, feeling the depleting Star Energy before breaking the pseudo-domain.

"Neil!!"

I shifted my focus toward Nadya as she shouted, with the door beside them now open.

"Space warp."

Without wasting time on these creatures, I warped the space around me, arriving beside her.

"Let's go," I mumbled, walking inside first.

"Are you alright?" As soon as we moved in, Nadya asked, walking close.

"What could happen to me?" I replied with a cheeky smile, which brought a smile to her face.

"By the way, that was so cool!!" She exclaimed like a child, "The way all the space around you turned upside down but you remained still, damn, I love that!!"

"Star Energy has a lot of uses," Elysia commented, making me remember something.

"About that... can you guys think of a better name for it?" I asked, looking at both of them.

"Hmm? Why?" Nadya asked, squinting her eyes.

"I just don't like this name," I replied, which only increased her suspicion.

"...Then why didn't you change it earlier?" Elysia chimed in, "Why now?"

"...Well, just tell me a better name," I grumbled, averting their gazes.

....I can't just tell them Grace didn't like the name. Both of them would eat me alive.

"I will think about it," Nadya mumbled, still not convinced by my words, "but you better tell me why."

"Okay," I replied, shrugging before I looked around the place.

It was dull at first, but the light flickered on again, illuminating the place.

And once again, it was a lab-like structure with a single jail cell in the middle, which was burst open.

Right beside it were sprawled dead bodies of some people that had turned into skeletons.

"....Look around the place," I mumbled, ordering both of them to move.

"I am gonna change," Nadya commented, making me look at her again.

She still wore her maid dress, which she immediately started to take off.

"Hey! Look away!" Elysia blocked my view, standing in front of her.

"...I have already seen everything," I rebuked, flicking my finger at her forehead.

She winced in pain, glaring at me before I turned around.

'...It looks familiar.'

I felt like I had seen this place somewhere before.

...But I don't remember where.

Looking around the place, I found some documents that told about the king of this land.

...It goes about his bravery and kindness, which I had no interest in.

But what interested me was him being known as 'Being of Holiness.'

'...The irony.'n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The Being of Holiness dying from corruption from the unholiest thing.

BOOM!!

"HUH?" I looked up from where I stood as I heard a loud sound of something blasting the place.

{Star Sense}

Closing my eyes, I used the Star Energy to look up... Only to find a group of fifteen people descending downwards.

'Right.... Holy Blood and the Dark Church.'

...How did I nearly forget about them?

...But why are they here?

Unless...

Only then did it click for me. Why this place looked so familiar.

"Nadya, Elysia," I called them softly, opening my eyes.

They both looked at me... Nadya being half-naked, which I ignored as I informed them, "...I found your mother."

Both of their faces lit up as they rushed toward me.

"Where?" Nadya asked eagerly, adjusting her bra.

I took a moment to look at them before I replied, pointing downwards, "...She is here just below us."

...This is the place that I saw in the game.

"But she isn't alone," I added, looking down, my voice turning serious as I knew I couldn't take it lightly,

"Someone at ascension level is guarding her body."
