Chapter 728 Complete Vision
"Mackenzie! Stay behind me!" Joyce heard that same voice shouting at her again.
She turned to look at the source of that commanding voice the same way she had done before. And she saw Theodore suddenly swooping in and spreading out his massive wings in front of her.
Joyce already knew what he was going to say next. And just as she had thought, he reprimanded, "I asked you to stay behind, Mackenzie! Why won't you listen to me?"
And Joyce complained in a similar manner as before, "But I am not a child anymore! I can help you, you know."
She turned to her side and shot a fireball at the incoming arrows. The arrows got melted into nothing before they could reach anywhere near the two of them.
"I can watch your back."
Joyce turned around to focus on the enemies behind them. There were quite a few angels in their golden armor, swooping in as if they were birds of prey. She glared at some of them and prepared to retaliate.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Joyce performed that complex hand movement again and produced a bright ball of fire in between her palms. She threw it towards one of the angels who was already getting closer to her.
However, to Joyce's dismay, that angel wasn't someone ordinary. He easily vaporized that ball of fire, and instead, he conjured up an arrow made out of sharp ice. He let that arrow lose while aiming at Joyce's heart.
Joyce panicked because the body she was in was still creating the fireball while that arrow was very close to piercing her chest.
Thankfully, Theodore came to her rescue in time. He grabbed that speeding arrow of ice before it hit Joyce. And he threw it back at the angel who had conjured it up.
And Theodore growled at that angel who had a smug smile on his face, "Michael! Stay away from Mackenzie if you don't want to die today."
"It will be you and your whole lot of pathetic winged bastards who will be dying today, not me," Michael replied with the same smugness.
And the dark-red-haired devil in the guise of an angel started to conjure up a dark cloud above Theodore and Joyce.
Theodore instantly gritted his teeth because he knew what Michael was going to do. "Mackenzie, get away from here, fast!" he screamed at the girl behind him.
Joyce instantly felt that the fight between the two of them was going to get way serious and dangerous. She immediately flapped her wings and then flew away from there.
She could hear the thunders behind her as she flapped her wings as fast as she could.
The angels and demons stopped their battle and took a glance in the direction where two of God's sons were going to fight.
Those who were in the vicinity of them quickly flew away, knowing all too well that staying near them would only lead to their deaths. And those who were at a safe distance resumed their battle with their opponents.
Joyce also fought every angel that came to challenge her. She threw fireballs, kicked, punched, and did everything that she knew to keep herself safe.
And because of how the angels were targeting and attacking her, she didn't get any time to focus on the battle between Theodore and Michael. However, she would hear loud thunderclaps and see the lightning every once in a while.
"I hope he will be okay," she thought to herself as she ripped off the wings from one of the angel's back and kicked him down.
A sliver of Joyce's consciousness that knew that all of this was a nightmare, felt disgusted by what the body was doing. She looked down at her hands to see them covered in blood. She was still holding those plucked-out wings.
Joyce wanted to get out of that body. Now.
"I think I will get sick for days if I don't wake up soon," Joyce thought to herself while the body threw those pair of wings and continued to fight.
Joyce couldn't take in that violence and blood bath anymore. She had hoped that Vlad would wake her up like the last time. However, she couldn't hear his voice, nor could she feel him shaking her body.
So screamed in her mind, "Please wake up, Joy! PLEASE WAKE UP!"
However, no matter how much she wished that this nightmare would come to an end, it didn't seem like she was going to wake up any time soon.
Joyce continued to bear the mental torture while Mackenzie fought fiercely. The attacks on her were increasing by the second. And no matter how many angels she hurt, crippled, and killed, there didn't seem to be an end to them.
They kept on coming at her, now in groups.
A few of the demons came to her aid. However, she was still overwhelmed by the enemies.
After a while, Joyce suddenly heard a voice from behind, "Mackenzie! Watch your back!"
Joyce turned her head to check who or what was coming her way.
Michael had sneakily thrown a sharp spear made out of ice while aiming at Mackenzie after he was cornered by his brother.
The Devil teleported behind Mackenzie in order to take that spear himself.
However, before he could reappear and before Joyce could completely turn around, the spear pierced Mackenzie right in between her wings.
Mackenzie inhaled sharply in agony and arched her back. Even Joyce felt her backbones and heart being shredded into pieces. It hurt so bad that Joyce thought she would die in real life as well.

Streams of tears rolled down her eyes as she drew in her last breath and fell down from the sky.
"Nooooooooo…" she heard Theodore's gut-wrenching scream before she closed her eyes for good.
Finally, Joyce flung up on her bed while laboriously drawing in a deep breath. Her eyes were all wet, and so was her whole body. The agonizing pain in her chest was still intact as though she had a huge hole in her chest even now.
"Joy? What happened? Are you okay?" Vlad finally woke up from his deep sleep after he felt Joyce springing up on the bed.
Joyce touched her chest with her trembling hands. She even looked down to make sure that she didn't have her chest open or her hands covered in blood. To her relief, nothing of the sort had happened.
"Joy?"
Joyce suddenly pulled in her knees, hugged them, and started to cry hysterically. All of her nightmares felt so real and dangerous that she really felt as though she had died. And it was so overwhelming for her that she ended up breaking down.
Vlad shifted closer to his wife, now worried more than ever. He put his arms around her shoulders and pulled her closer to his chest. He guessed that his wife had a nightmare again.
And he gently consoled her, "Hey… It was just a nightmare. Don't worry. You are safe now."
"But it all felt so real…" Joyce buried her face in her husband's chest and kept on wailing. "Everything felt so real. It wasn't just a nightmare. I… I had a vision again… This time a complete vision. She… Mackenzie died! She is going to get killed!"
