Chapter 1205: Strange demons
Chapter 1205: Strange demons
The Kite Kingdom was in great chaos.
The movements of the soldiers wasn't something that was missed and in no time at all, everyone knew what was happening.
This was a matter of survival for the Kite Kingdom, so it was impossible to hide it.
Of course, there was no one that ran away.
That was because they all knew that there was nowhere for them to run.
The demons that were coming had already gone through several other human kingdoms and they didn't seem like they would be stopping anytime soon. If they were to try and run to other human kingdoms, it wasn't a guarantee that they wouldn't attack the other human kingdoms.
So it didn't matter where they ran since there was still the chance that they would be attacked.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
At the same time, this kingdom actually had the best chances of resisting the demons.
It was all because of one thing.
The wyverns.
The fact that all of the wyverns from all around the country was something that they could rely on.
The wyverns were powerful monsters in the first place, so they had the best chance of defeating the demons.
That was why everyone around the country came together to fight against the demons.
If there was anything that was needed, it was transported right away to the site of the battle.
In addition to the wyverns, there were also undead, Great Wolves, giants, and mermaids that were brought along. Though there weren't that many of the final three since there were only a few of them in the Kite Kingdom right now.
There was also a group of paladins that came along since they were the reinforcements from the Holy Empire.
Though when they saw the undead...
Chris and Leon looked like they had something to say, but they held themselves back as they focused on the main problem on hand.
The demons were already in view.
They marched as a group, but there didn't seem to be any formations in the demon army. It seemed that they just did whatever they wanted with the way that they marched.
Though the main reason for that was because of the different kinds of demons in the first place.
In the first place, the demon race was a race that was comprised of all the different kinds of demons. So even if they were the unified demon race, there were many different tribes of demons that were out there.
All of the different tribes of demons had different abilities, which meant that there were many that clashed with each other.
For the demons to fight in a formation would actually be a handicap for them.
It was better for the demons to rampage how they wanted when they wanted. That would
allow them to use their powerful abilities to the greatest extent.
And the demons that appeared this time...seemed a bit strange.
"We've never seen these kinds of demons before." Chris said in a heavy voice as he looked through the binoculars at the demons that were approaching.
No one said anything in response since there was nothing that they could say in response to this.
That was because no one had ever seen demons like this before.
There were demon tribes that people recognized, but there were strange things about those demons that no one could explain.
These were things like extra limbs or even tentacles that were sticking out of them.
It made the demons look even more terrifying than they normally did.
Though in my case, I couldn't help looking at the demons through the binocular with a very strange look on my face.
The demons looked very similar to something that I had experienced before.
I even had to look at Ariel and Puffer to confirm this.
Ariel gave a slow nod in response, but Puffer looked at the demons as if she was looking at experiments. She looked at them almost as if she wanted to catch these demons and dissect them on the spot.
That was more than enough to show that she recognized these demons as well.
They were the same as the corrupted sea creatures that we faced back then.
Only, it didn't seem like these corrupted demons had lost their minds like the corrupted sea creatures had. Even though they had mutated by the corruption, it seemed that they were still able to move normally.
Then perhaps we would be able to get some information about the corruption from them if we were to capture them.
However, before that, we had to defeat these corrupted demons first.
The corrupted sea creatures had shown amazing restoration abilities, so it was unknown if the corrupted demons would show the same. If they did, that meant that I would be the only one that could deal with them...
No, it wasn't just me.
There was also Moon and Ariel who I had given sacred relics to.
Moon had that branch from the Tree of Life that Vivrum gave me and Ariel had the scarf that I got from Aquaron.
At the same time, there were the holy knights and priests that were here.
While I didn't know how much the holy knights and priests would be able to help, they should
at least have some effect on the corrupted demons with their holy magic.
So it was at least better than when we faced those corrupted sea creatures.
But the situation was still looking bad since there were far more corrupted demons than there were corrupted sea creatures.
After this thought passed through my mind, I immediately turned to the prime minister and said, "Pass down my orders to everyone."
The prime minister was surprised, but he still gave a nod of agreement.
The look on his face changed several times when he heard the story that I told him and at the
end, he even asked, "Is this true?"
I just gave a simple nod in response.
At that, the prime minister gave a sigh and started organizing things as per my orders.
