Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1477: Under Attack

Chapter 1477: Under Attack

“That’s right. An External Avatar isn’t a clone.” Song Zhen explained after Shang Xia’s External Avatar left and when he saw the strange look on Zhu Nang’s face.

“What is an External Avatar actually?” Zhu Nang didn’t know what the hell was the difference, but from how Song Zhen was speaking, he clearly didn’t plan to hide it.

Speaking of which, Zhu Nang was a true blue expert bred and born in the Chaotic Sea of Stars. He was different from the experts from the various worlds.

Those who grew up in the Chaotic Sea of Stars usually focused on very practical martial arts. Their martial path is also pretty strange. Even though a True Immortal could be considered an expert in the Chaotic Sea of Stars, the inheritance they practiced or created couldn’t even be compared to high-level experts of proper worlds.

Experts who matured in powerful worlds and reached the Martial Void Realm usually came from powerful factions with complete inheritances. They might not have survived on the edge of death every day and might not possess enough combat experience compared to those in the Chaotic Sea of Stars, they had much more refined skills.

Song Zhen originally belonged to the former, but after his great contributions as Shang Xia’s aide, he managed to make up for his weakness.

He explained the difference between Shang Xia’s External Avatar and a normal clone before he continued, “Even though the way of creating an External Avatar and a clone are different secret arts, you can practice both of them after you become a second tier True Immortal. However, creating an External Clone is far too difficult. Just the requirement to split off your soul far surpasses anything second tier True Immortal can withstand. That is why Shang Xia suggests that you should only try it after reaching the third tier.” n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Zhu Nang nodded. “Creating an External Avatar is much more difficult than creating a clone, but an External Avatar is much better than a clone. After all, their combat strength can grow along with their true bodies and that is already much better than a clone that only possesses combat strength in the initial Martial Void Realm.”

“Also, an External Avatar is able to make their own decisions quicker and adapt to changes, giving them a lot of advantages...” Zhu Nang summarized.

Nodding slowly, Song Zhen didn’t forget to add, “However, an External Avatar requires large amounts of resources to create. Even for people like us, it’s not easy to make one. Brother Zhu, if you ever decide to create an External Avatar, you better start saving up now...”

“Brother Song, you said that an External Avatar is able to grow along their true bodies, right? How strong can an External Avatar become?” Zhu Nang asked after thinking for a second.

Song Zhen replied in a low voice, “From what I know, the lord already has an External Avatar who is a fourth tier True Immortal. He’s defending a Star Nest in the lord’s place outside the Essence Xing World.”

Sucking in a cold breath, Zhu Nang gasped, “A high-level True Immortal?!”

There was a trace of suspicion on his face as he revealed a complicated expression.

...

Even after the Ying Brothers revealed the approximate location of the Azure World to Xin Lu, she needed some time to find their position in the chaotic streams before charting a path to the Azure World.

It wasn’t something that could be done immediately and the Twin Star Pirates would have to travel around the chaotic streams as they wait for her to finish the task.

If everything had gone as planned back then, things might not have been as difficult for Xin Lu. If Tian Zhen was still with them, even if his inheritance wasn’t complete, he was still a Stargazer. If he gave her his full support, she could save a lot of time and effort.

Alas, Tian Zhen’s betrayal took a huge toll on the Twin Star Pirates and if not for Shang Xia’s timely arrival, the Twin Star Pirates would cease to exist.

While Xin Lu was deducing the path through the chaotic streams, Shang Xia was thinking back to what happened during the battle.

Because he was afraid of True Immortal Mei’s rank seven treasure, he didn’t show himself. There was also the matter of him not wanting to reveal his actual identity, but after using the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman, True Immortal Mei would be able to learn of his involvement if he really looked into the matter.

After all... Shang Xia had a massive reputation in the Chaotic Sea of Stars.

The battle allowed him to fully display the might of Heaven Liberation, the sixth move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique. He refined the move to reach new heights.

At the very end, where he bestowed 3 Martial Dipper Realm experts with his Six Direction Qi, he had a strange feeling of enlightenment with a way to start comprehending his martial intent.

The feeling was extremely blurry and it happened so quickly that he failed to grab hold of it.

Even so, the direction in which he should progress was clear. Shang Xia also had a guide to comprehend his martial intent through the Crimson Soul Tablet and all he had to do was to work towards his clear goal.

Once he prepared all the other requirements, all that would be left to do was to comprehend his martial intent.

Since he had a goal to work towards, Shang Xia felt a lot more refreshed. He also had a strange feeling that the journey to the Azure World would be his opportunity to comprehend his martial intent.

After exiting seclusion, he went to the deck of the ship and noticed that they were traveling through the void.

Calling over a Twin Star Pirate, Shang Xia asked, “How long was I in seclusion for? When did we start to move again?”

The expert who was called over felt a trace of lingering fear in his heart after being summoned by the high-level True Immortal. After hearing Shang Xia’s question, he composed himself before replying, “True Immortal Shang, according to the time in the sea of stars, you have been in seclusion for half a month. The chiefs ordered for the fleet to start moving 4 days ago...”

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva, the Twin Star Pirate who was speaking was no longer as nervous as before he continued, “However, we don’t know where we’re going and the chiefs didn’t say. They only instructed us to follow the path Stargazer Xin deduced.”

Shang Xia’s identity hadn’t been revealed to the rest of the Twin Star Pirates yet, and all the pirate before him knew was that the young and handsome expert he was speaking to was a high-level True Immortal.

As for Xin Lu, she was an even more mysterious figure. No one knew her exact appearance and only the Ying Brothers knew of her actual background.

Shang Xia waved his hand for the pirate to leave before turning to stare in a certain direction. He gasped softly before walking quickly to the other side of the Star Ship.

The pirate didn’t know what was going on and seeing as Shang Xia had moved, he quickly followed behind. According to the Ying Brothers’ order, he had to fulfill Shang Xia’s every demand.

“True Immortal...” Before he could speak, he felt his shoulders being squeezed tightly before he was flung over to a cabin in the Star Ship. Even though he was thrown hard, he didn’t suffer any injuries.

In his state of panic, his eyes widened in shock. However, it soon turned into one of utter fear.

Staring into the distance, the chaotic streams were torn apart as a Star Beast that was basically as big as the Star Ship approached on its left. It slammed heavily into the protection barrier.
