After that, the court will have to return inside the castle where the ball to celebrate the wedding will be held, and those that will be at this ball are the people we choose here today.

"I see," Silva said and opened the doors to his office. He took his seat, and Lily sat down as well.

Every working establishment must have a leader, and those leaders were selected carefully for every establishment.

"Hmm, the leaders of the major organizations of the kingdom would make the perfect guests to start off with," Lily said.

"Good, then we can make a list of them all and create invites for them. Now to the next set, I was thinking every former noble that remained here.

They are not many in number, but there are still quite a few. It's to serve as a sign of respect to them," Silva said.

"I see, that works too. But after them, there aren't really people to invite anymore," Lily said.

Now they are in the army, if I recall. Those are the type of people we want as friends at the wedding," Silva said.

"Alright, I'll give the others the chance to invite their friends, maybe one or two," Lily said.

Silva didn't say anything for a while, but then, like it dropped from the sky, he remembered something.

"The elf emperor—I want to invite him. I'm sure all the rulers keep tabs on each other, so if they see that he is here for a wedding, they'll think that we have a close relationship.

That would turn the attention of everyone to see the defensive lines of the kingdom, and that would allow holes that we can use to get into the empire easily," Silva said.

"Master, you should not use your brother's wedding as an opportunity for another stunt or to try and infiltrate the empire," Lily said.

"I know, Lily, but we should learn to make the best of it now, even if it's a wedding," Silva said.

Night came, and most activities had ended for the day. Gabriel decided to step outside into the town to clear his head.

He walked through the streets peacefully without any issues until he felt a cold wind blow past him. His senses peaked.

He looked around and saw a black envelope on the floor with the emblem of the organization he worked for in the Empire.

Immediately he saw the emblem, he felt dread wash over him because he knew what this envelope meant. He picked it up and opened it.

Gabriel froze when he read this. It was not a death threat; it was simply his organization telling him he was already dead as far as they were concerned.

"Rose, I can't let them have her. I have to ensure that this is all handled quietly," Gabriel said and walked away quietly, knowing he was being watched.

"Lily, tell me more about the people that snuck into the kingdom. What are they about?" Silva said after stretching his body in the throne.

The only people with him now were Drake, Lily, and Elsa, who, as usual, sat on his lap.

"Well, they tried to sneak in as best as they could, but it was a pathetic attempt. But I did let them in after I found something on them.

Their clothes had a certain crest on them, and I've seen that crest with Gabriel. So I'm certain they are here for him.

After all, he was like an assassin and agent, and then he suddenly left them. It's only normal they would try to find him, capture him, or kill him.

There are a total of fifty that came in, all in hiding, as one delivered a letter to Gabriel. I'm guessing that's part of the protocol of their organization.

Well, Gabriel seemed very shaken after reading the letter. It seems he wants to handle this alone," Lily said.

"Well, he should. I feel the only way for him to get over all this and leave his past is to face it. All we have to do is to support from behind.

Make sure that in their fight, no casualties from the citizens happen. Clear the oath for them secretly and direct the fight. Let's see how good Gabriel is," Silva said.

"Alright then, I'll keep an eye on him and watch how the whole thing plays out," Lily said and turned to leave.

"Lily, one more thing: let none of the assassins leave alive at all. If they finish their fight with Gabriel and survive, make sure you handle them," Silva said.
