Chapter 1607: Day in Panagea!

Aakesh focused on the screen before him. The selling hours requirement grew by almost nine times, while the rate of increment in reward and required time saw a growth of ten times.

The system still gave a buffer time of twenty-five thousand days to the store, as was the case in the ninth quest. Fortunately for Aakesh, it wasn't much of a necessity for the store.

The customer inflow to the store at the current moment was more than enough to sell 80 million daily Panagea hours, so there was nothing to worry about. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Aakesh only took a casual glance at the punishment section and then waved his hands. The next moment, the screen disappeared, waiting for him to call it back.

Aakesh then walked toward the first portal and touched the glowing stars. The next moment, a suction force way stronger than anything he could handle acted on him, and he returned to the exact place where he had exited Panagea the day before.

Aakesh jumped down the tree and continued his journey toward his destination. It had been several years since he finally exited the unexitable city.

It was very tough to do, and after a lot of effort, he finally succeeded in doing so without dying even once. That was the toughest time Aakesh had faced in Panagea, and the reward for it was no less valuable.

He gained several levels and resources that, if he exchanged them, would be more than enough to purchase even the wealthiest of races of the Sacred Dimension several times.

Roar!

An angry roar rang in Aakesh's ears as he was sensed by a monster. It was a flying monster that immediately swooped down to feed on him.

Aakesh didn't stand there waiting for the monster because there was a five-level difference between the two parties.

Even though Aakesh had the capability to win against beings five levels above him, it wasn't easy.

Aakesh backed away, and a bow appeared in his hand. He shot one arrow after another, covering the sky in no time.

Cry!

The monster let out a terrifying cry, and just the energy from that destroyed all the arrows. The monster wasn't an ordinary one either.

Aakesh immediately understood the battle wasn't going to be easy at all. He didn't have much time to waste on the monster since he was doing a time-bound quest, and he didn't want to fail his first quest in his story as an adventurer.

Aakesh took out a conical device from his space ring. It was only the size of an ordinary human nail, but as soon as it appeared, energy started going wild.

Even Aakesh, who was holding the talisman, felt his energy going out of his control.

Aakesh didn't want to keep feeling that, so he immediately pressed on the sharp conical, and the device immediately exploded.

The next moment, the space around Aakesh cracked open. Following that, a wretchedly rotten finger stepped out of the crack. Aakesh pointed at the monster, and the monster immediately tried to fly away as its face was filled with terror.

Immediately after Aakesh pointed, the finer flew toward the monster at an unimaginable speed. The finger seemed to be endless as it crossed hundreds of meters in an instant, but even the nails hadn't ended.

Boom!

The next moment, the monster exploded in a blood cloud. The finger immediately faded after that.

What Aakesh used was one of the many rewards he had gotten from the city, and it had enough power to destroy even a Level 450 creature.

It was like an overkill, but since Aakesh had many of these, he didn't care about losing one. At the same time, since Aakesh had used an item like that, he gained no XP from the monster's death.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Aakesh still had five Panagea hours left before his meditation time began, but fortunately for him, he reached the city on time.

Before him stood a small city that could be encompassed in just one glance. It didn't mean that the city was insignificant, but what brought Aakesh there was an item that was needed by a Level 600 being.

It was less of a city and more of a family tribe since it was all one family living in the entire tribe.

Even the weakest of the tribe was above Level 500, so the quest didn't deal with direct combat. Even someone like Aakesh could do nothing if even his weakest opponent was above that mark of 500.

The family regularly had contests, and whoever won it would get a piece of paper. That piece of paper wasn't ordinary, as it allowed the owner of the paper to wish for one thing.

The family leader was a Level 950 being, so the reward didn't seem farfetched.

What Aakesh needed to do was win the contest, get the paper, and then wish for an item. He would then need to hand that item to the man who published the quest. As a reward for completing the mission, Aakesh would get three levels worth of XP.

It was an extremely desirable quest, and Aakesh had to prove himself to the publisher. His identity as the adventurer didn't matter much since dying there would immediately result in the mission's failure, even if Aakesh could get revived.

Since it was time for the contest, many figures were traveling to the city. When Aakesh reached the gate, the guard asked for the certificate.

Aakesh nodded and indifferently handed the certificate to the guard. It was given to him by the man, as only those with certificates could participate in the contest.

Once the guard sensed the familiar energy verification, he returned the certificate and gave the instructions Aakesh needed to follow.

Only two more hours were left of his stay in Panagea when the contest finally began. The entire year would be the contest year, and those with certificates would come to the city, complete the challenge, and wait for the year's end.

Those with the best result would be declared the victor and get the paper.

The challenge was fixed for everyone. There were six contestants with Aakesh, so once all six arrived, the challenge began.

The content of the challenge was logical and didn't require any combat. Aakesh would be teleporting to a pocket world controlled by the family.

There would be a maze in the world, and whoever reached the end the quickest over the entire year would be crowned the winner.

Aakesh found himself standing in a palace, and pressure acting on him to kneel. He wasn't alone there, but there were several figures.

At the center of it was a majestic man sitting on the throne and looking angrily at Aakesh who was dressed as the crown prince.

"Kneel and accept your mistake. If you don't, you will be stripped of your title as the crown prince."

As soon as the King said that, an illusion of his past life flashed through Aakesh's eyes. The luxury he had enjoyed all his life was going to be stripped away from him if he didn't kneel and apologize.

Aakesh's expression remained indifferent as he looked at the man sitting on the throne.

The man couldn't help but feel a chill crawl down his spine as Aakesh's eyes felt like a neverending hole trying to suck him in. At the same time, he also felt as if Aakesh was looking at him like anyone in the world looked at a bug.

"You dare!"

The king roared in anger and pushed his palm. The next moment, a palm covered in a golden glow appeared and struck Aakesh.

Aakesh felt his chest sinking and all his bones being destroyed. His expression turned cold, and he charged forward.

He didn't have any of his weapons, so it seemed to be suicidal, but as soon as his step landed, he found himself standing in a dark swamp.

The illusion turned out to be a useless challenge for him, as Aakesh would never choose to kneel even if he were unconscious.

But since it was only the illusion of the first step, it was understandable that it wasn't very challenging.

'Now let's see what is the second challenge!'

Aakesh thought in his mind since the dark swamp was also an illusion. The maze would put Aakesh into a new illusion with every step, and the contest had only begun.
