Chapter 84 - 84
After an intense spar and an even more grueling workout session, Klaus felt like his body was on the verge of breaking. It was one of the first times he had strained himself this much without resorting to his healing magic.
"I guess even without magic, my body’s condition isn’t too bad for a kid," Klaus thought as he made his way to the hot bath that the maid had prepared for him.
As soon as his body submerged in the warm water, he felt the fatigue melting away, each aching muscle slowly relaxing. "Ahh, I have to admit, this feels good," he murmured, closing his eyes and letting the warmth envelop him.
With his eyes closed, Klaus shifted his focus to the realm where his Eyes of the Ten Eyes Mantra resided. He could sense the buildup of energy, signaling that a new eye was about to open soon. Starting with the opening of the Four Eyes, Klaus would be able to use the innate ability of each eye as they awakened. In his past life, he had only managed to open up to the Fourth Eye of the Ten Eyes Mantra.
In this life, however, he had discovered another use for the Eyes of the Ten Eyes Mantra: the ability to form a magic circle within them. This unique capability made him one of the only beings in existence able to use both magic and aura simultaneously.
What Klaus was most looking forward to was the special ability of the First Eye, which would unlock once the Four Eyes opened. It was an ability Klaus had found incredibly useful in his past life.
"I should probably focus more effort on opening the Four Eyes; physical training can wait. It’s better to prioritize immediate benefits over potential future gains," Klaus thought. As a mage, he was pragmatic, always focusing his efforts on tasks that brought immediate results. This approach had guided him in his past life, and despite the unfortunate ending, Klaus was convinced it was the best strategy for his current life.
After a long, soothing bath, Klaus changed into more comfortable attire and headed to the dining room. There, he ate voraciously, as if he hadn’t had a meal in weeks. The maids were delighted to see his hearty appetite, their smiles reflecting their pleasure in seeing him eat so well.
Once his hunger was satisfied, Klaus went straight to his room. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he fell into a deep sleep, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with him.
He didn’t wake up until two days later. No one was worried about him, though. Whenever someone checked on him, they could hear his steady snoring, a clear sign that he was simply catching up on much-needed rest. Elisabeth and the maids decided to let him sleep as long as he needed, assuming his fatigue was due to the official trainee exam he had taken at the Lionhart Arena.
In those two days, the household went about their usual routines, occasionally glancing towards Klaus’s room with a mix of concern and understanding. They knew he was pushing himself hard, and while they admired his dedication, they also wished for him to take better care of himself. The days were filled with a quiet anticipation, everyone waiting for Klaus to wake up and resume his relentless pursuit of strength and mastery.
As the sun set on the second day, casting a soft golden glow over the estate, a sense of calm and readiness enveloped the surroundings. Klaus opened his eyes, now shining with mana that made the blue within them gleam like a tranquil lake. His body felt unusually light, brimming with strength and energy.
"I guess a good night of sleep can fix everything," Klaus mused, clenching and unclenching his fists.
He got out of bed and started to jump around, testing the newfound lightness of his body. After a brief session of push-ups, he took a refreshing shower and headed downstairs, where he joined his family for breakfast.

With his body fully healed, Klaus was in an exceptionally good mood. He couldn’t help but tease Elisabeth and Ludovic about Elisabeth’s pregnancy. He was also surprised to learn from Elisabeth that he had been asleep for a full two days.
After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, Klaus changed into lighter clothes and made his way to the lake near the garden of the expansive mansion. There, he sat in a lotus position and began to recite the Ten Eyes Mantra in a part of his mind that Greed couldn’t access. He started to absorb the mana in the air, channeling it into the realm where the Eyes of the Ten Eyes Mantra resided.
For about four hours, he repeated this process, sinking deeper into a trance state. His focus was so intense that the world around him faded into oblivion. However, an unfamiliar voice eventually broke through his concentration.
"Hey!"
"Hey!"
"Hey! Can you hear me?" The persistent voice belonged to a girl standing in front of Klaus.
Klaus opened his eyes, and his breath was taken away. The girl was stunning, with silver hair and emerald blue eyes that mirrored his own. Her pale, clear skin gave her an almost ethereal presence. Standing about 1.6 meters tall, her young age did nothing to diminish her striking appearance. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Ah, finally! I’ve been calling you for about 30 minutes now. Don’t you know it’s not polite to make a lady wait?" she said, crossing her arms in annoyance.
Klaus stared at her, dumbfounded by her beauty. After a few moments, he regained his composure.
"And who might you be?" Klaus asked coldly, irritated that she had disrupted his natural trance state.
"Oh, me? I guess I didn’t introduce myself first," the girl said, bowing politely. "I’m Mary-Claire"
Klaus scrutinized her, trying to gauge her intentions. "Why are you here?" he asked, his tone still guarded.
Mary-Claire smiled, an enigmatic glint in her emerald blue eyes. "I came to see the young prodigy everyone’s been talking about. Your reputation precedes you, Klaus."
Klaus raised an eyebrow. "My reputation?"
"Yes," Mary-Claire continued, her smile widening. "Word travels fast, especially when someone as young as you achieves such feats. I’m here to see if the rumors are true."
Klaus sighed, feeling a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. "And what if they are?"
What do you think?
