Chapter 90 - 90
After Klaus had awakened his dark flames and bloodline arts, a surge of power coursed through his veins, making him feel as though he had broken through some invisible barrier. His body felt stronger, more agile, and his mind sharper than ever before. The sensation was almost euphoric, as if he had stepped into a new realm of power and understanding.
Not long after, a familiar chime echoed in his mind.

Klaus couldn’t help but grin widely, his excitement bubbling over. "Oh my dear book, you truly are a gift sent from the heavens, aren’t you?" he murmured, pressing a small, almost reverent kiss to the ancient manuscript that had led him to this discovery.
He quickly pieced together the reasons for his newfound strength: the first boost in stats came from awakening his Ice Art bloodline, the second from the Beast Art bloodline, and the third from the awakening of his dark flames. Reaching the level of Swordmaster was just an added bonus, a testament to the power he now wielded.
But Klaus knew he couldn’t linger. The massive commotion from his explosive awakening would surely draw attention, and he wasn’t eager to explain himself to the guards or anyone else who might come running. He needed to leave the area, and fast.
However, just as he was about to retreat, something within him halted his steps. He felt a deep stirring in his core, a sense that he was on the verge of awakening yet another power—the fourth eye of the Ten Eyes Mantra. His mind, still clear from reaching Swordmaster level, was in the perfect state to capitalize on this moment. He couldn’t afford to waste it.
Klaus quickly scanned his surroundings, searching for a place where he could meditate in peace, away from prying eyes. His gaze fell upon the lake—a deep, cold body of water that seemed untouched and serene.
’That should do,’ Klaus thought.
With a calm expression, he cast a Third Circle spell, "Branchite," which would allow him to breathe underwater. Without hesitation, Klaus dove into the lake, the icy water closing over his head as he swam deeper, seeking the quiet and isolation that would allow him to focus entirely on his meditation.
Once he reached the bottom, Klaus settled into a lotus position, the cold water pressing in on him from all sides. The spell he had cast ensured he could remain underwater indefinitely, giving him all the time he needed. He closed his eyes and began to recite the Ten Eyes Mantra silently, circulating the natural mana from the lake through his body and into his mind space.
After several cycles of focusing the mana, Klaus felt a small tremor within his mind. The sensation grew stronger with each repetition until, finally, he felt a surge of power explode through him. A mental chain shattered, and with it, the fourth eye of the Ten Eyes Mantra opened.

Klaus’s heart raced with exhilaration. The book was indeed a treasure trove of power, a key to unlocking abilities he hadn’t even dreamed of. Not only had he opened the fourth eye, but he had also uncovered the name and ability of the first eye he had opened: Anubis, with its unique power, Red Zone.
But Klaus wasn’t satisfied with just this. The momentum was in his favor, and he intended to ride it further. He decided to go beyond just opening the fourth eye—he would form a magic circle within it, just as he had done with the previous three eyes.
With careful precision, Klaus began to channel mana into the newly opened eye. Slowly, methodically, he started to draw the circle, focusing intensely on getting every line, every curve perfect. The process was painstaking, taking nearly twenty minutes, but at last, the magic circle was complete. It spun within the eye, joining the other three in a rhythmic dance of power.

A sense of deep satisfaction washed over Klaus as he felt the new power coursing through him. He opened his mind’s eye, sensing the myriad presences around him—every fish in the lake, every insect in the garden, and every person within the annex mansion’s premises. He was aware of them all, and it was exhilarating.
When he confirmed that no one was near the lake, Klaus decided it was time to leave. With a whispered incantation, he cast another spell.
"Third Circle Magic: Blink."

In an instant, Klaus teleported out of the water and high into the night sky, looking down at the estate below. He cast a series of magic circles beneath his feet, stepping onto them as if they were solid stairs, descending slowly and carefully.
The cool night air brushed against his skin, reminding him once more of his nakedness. But Klaus felt no embarrassment now—only the thrill of power and the anticipation of what lay ahead. He descended towards the mansion, heading straight for the window of his room.
{’Look at him, showing off,’} Greed muttered in the back of his mind, though there was a hint of approval in his tone. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Klaus ignored the spirit’s sarcasm, focusing instead on his graceful descent. He reached his window, slipping inside with practiced ease. The room was dark and quiet, just as he had left it. Klaus quickly rummaged through his wardrobe, finding a set of training clothes to slip into. As he dressed, his thoughts drifted back to Helene.
’She must be cold,’ Klaus thought, recalling the brief, awkward encounter they had shared by the lake. He hadn’t been able to get her out of his mind since then.
He grabbed another set of clothes and, with a small smirk, cast Blink once more, disappearing from his room in search of the mysterious girl who had seen him at his most vulnerable. He wasn’t sure what he was planning to do, but he knew he couldn’t leave things as they were. Something about Helene intrigued him, and Klaus was never one to ignore his instincts.
What do you think?
