Chapter 2853 Silver Necklace
Chapter 2853 Silver Necklace
The journey to Tanus was quick and in less than a week the group was on the surface of this new planet they were exploring.
Tanus was very different from Eater in many ways. Tanus was more like what one would find traveling through Zocarro, but with a similar level of power to the surface of Eater. But this new planet the group was passing through lost out in overall strength and spiritual richness compared to Eater. The difference was not great, however.
As soon as they reached the surface of Tanus, a planet twice the size of Eater, the group moved on with their investigation. They knew minimal information about the area, so they weren't totally in the dark, but they had little to go on either.
Their initial job was to follow the clues they got from their exchanges with the 'Beast King's' former underlings, which should lead them to the remaining family of that legendary figure.
However, the group didn't expect much. The 'King of Beasts' family had fled Eater and probably didn't want to be found so easily. If the 'King of Beasts' really had perished in this world and left the Divine Tail behind, finding it or even traces of it would not be easy.
So they began their local investigations!
...
In a mountainous area of Tanus, a natural phenomenon in the area caused large rocks to float or fall from the air, forming a magical image of the area for those far enough away to appreciate. For those nearby, however, the beauty of the phenomenon didn't appeal.
Moving around the area could be very dangerous, with large boulders suddenly being lifted and then lowered out of the air, sometimes taking living beings with them as they passed through the area.
Minos and his wives, accompanied by the Hell Lifelings they had brought there and the new individuals they had revived on this planet, were passing through this area just now.
Guided by locals, the group made their way through this terrain that was considered too dangerous to pass through without prior knowledge of the area.
"Seniors, this area around us is the region of Soaring and Diving Rocks. The lateral rocks in this area have strong repellent and attractive characteristics for the phenomenon of the area, which causes them to detach from the ground, rise into the sky and then decay.
Given this phenomenon, we have a lively and extremely dynamic environment, with several interesting spots to explore on the floating micro-islands," the Hell Lifeling said, guiding the group through the area, flying towards another of the floating rocks, climbing ever higher in altitude in that area.
"Some of the extraterritorial communities usually maintain secret outposts in areas like these. It might be interesting to check out the over 300 micro-islands in the area." Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Minos and his wives followed behind their guide, agreeing to go ahead.
The last few hours had been about finding a path and figuring out where they would have the best chance of finding what they were looking for. After combining their findings with the knowledge of some of these Hell Lifelings, they came up with some good spots to investigate, among them the Soaring and Diving Rocks region.
Minos and his wives would soon get to know what was on these micro-islands, some of them so small that they could only have a small house on them, but others capable of containing small headquarters and even small towns.
There were many of them, so it would take the group a while to finish checking out their route.
Most of the time, during the subsequent hours, they wouldn't have very satisfactory results. But Minos was seeing a clearly positive path forming in the direction they were heading, feeling good omens about their uncertain fate.
It was on the micro-island number 143 that they passed that they came across ruins that caught their attention, prompting them to pause their climb through the sky and stop in the area to analyze it more calmly.
Minos let his subordinates test the surroundings for them. They were looking for something that would endanger Celestials, so none of them would underestimate the dangers surrounding what they were looking for.
One of the Hell Lifelings moved ahead of the group, checking the place for traps and things for the group to keep in mind before they explored the ruins for themselves.
"You can come," the Hell Lifeling said, as the group slowly followed in his footsteps, entering what looked like an old house. It wasn't exactly the type of human house common in the Spiritual World, but they could identify a resting place, a place for study and meditation, as well as an area for eating and another for individual hygiene.
Regardless of race, most intelligent and powerful creatures placed some value on banal activities such as relaxing in a reservoir of hot water, eating, sleeping and mating. With some prior knowledge about different types of races, peculiar habits, and the characteristics of a given area, it wouldn't be too difficult to differentiate between the kind of thing that went on in a residence and some outpost with different objectives.
"It looks like someone powerful has been here," Gloria said as she observed some spiritual marks that had been left behind in the everyday use of this long-uninhabited residence.
One of the Hell Lifelings continued what most of the group was doing, identifying what looked like the remains of burned fabrics.
"I think I've found something, seniors," said the local native as he picked up a silver necklace from among the burned remains, marked by a weakened but remarkably unique aura.
It was the kind of item that would easily go unnoticed. But once one took a closer look and checked it out, understanding that it wasn't normal would come as easy as breathing.
Minos received the silver necklace from Hell Lifeling, immediately stimulating his prophetic abilities. As soon as he did, his eyes lit up like blazing stars, with scenes from the future related to this item flashing through his mind.
"So?" Abby asked after almost three minutes of silence from Minos.
"This is unrelated, or at least not directly related, to the Divine Tail. But I feel this necklace will lead us to what we want." Minos clutched the item in his dominant hand, feeling that he should take it with him and find someone capable of repairing it.
In the vision he had just had, having this necklace in good condition would open important doors for him and his group!
"Anyway, let's move on. This is a good item, but let's not stop here."
After his words, the group continued with what they were doing, finishing checking out that ruin before moving on to other floating micro-islands.
