The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 386 386:Curing The Incurable

Evan reviewed and analyzed the things over and over again looking for potential traps and fall outs.

Evan leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful yet resolute. "Aurora, change the plan a bit."

Aurora's voice responded from the system, calm and cautious. [Which one?]

"We planned to enter the pharmaceutical industry under different names. Change it. Launch under Next-Gen Tech Pharmaceuticals and release our latest innovations immediately."

Aurora paused for a moment, processing his words. [What else?]

"Next-Gen will provide an AI-powered platform to streamline the pharmaceutical process and manage bidding for contracts. But here's the twist that is while we build a strong global face for Next-Gen, we covertly acquire a major pharmaceutical company. They'll act as our 'opposition.' Let them steal our research intentionally. "

"Spread fake news about their practices, create public chaos, and position them as direct competitors. But in truth, they'll be ours from the start."

[Are you preparing for potential fallout?] Aurora asked cautiously.

"Yes," Evan replied, his voice cold but calculated. "This is the backup plan. If Next-Gen Pharmaceuticals faces bans or sanctions, we'll already have an alternative ready to take over. By the time anyone realizes, it'll be too late."

Aurora's digital form flickered for a moment before responding. [Who will handle this operation?]

"Daniel," Evan replied, nodding decisively. "Call him."

....

Moments later, Daniel's face appeared on the screen, his usual confident smirk present. "Yo, man, what are you up to? You've been working like a ghost in the shadows lately."

Evan chuckled faintly. "You could say that."

"So, what's the deal? Why'd you call me?" Daniel asked, leaning forward with curiosity.

Evan's expression turned serious as he began explaining. "Daniel, I need you to acquire a well-established pharmaceutical company. Use a front to keep our involvement hidden. This company will become a critical piece in our next phase."

Daniel raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's the plan after that?"

Evan continued, his voice measured. "Once the acquisition is done, the company will appear to steal our research and innovations. Hire some people who will act as trespassers and take out and steal our own research."

Publicly, they'll be painted as antagonists, using smear campaigns and fake controversies. But in reality, every researcher, every innovation, everything they have will be ours but we will be painting them as our deep rooted enemy."

Daniel frowned slightly. "I don't understand. Why go through so much trouble to create an enemy like this?"

"What a hassle?Just go and take care of everything that appears as a nuisance. You already have the power to do so isn't it?"Daniel asked, rubbing his chin.

Evan lips twitched a bit as he answered,"It's not as simple as you make this matter out to be."

"Ohh!"Daniel scratched his cheek a bit embarrassed and asked,"Then tell me why you are doing this."

Evan leaned forward, a faint, cryptic smile on his face. "To create an alternative. If Next-Gen Pharmaceuticals faces shutdown or restrictions, this 'enemy' company will already be in position to take over. It's about staying ahead, no matter what happens."

Daniel's expression turned to shock. "You're planning to shut down Next-Gen? Why? It's your company!"

Evan nodded, his gaze icy. "Yes, but only if necessary. Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to sacrifice a piece to protect the whole. If things go south and I need to disappear, this plan ensures that operations continue seamlessly without me."

Daniel let out a low whistle. "You're always five steps ahead, aren't you? Fine. I'll get started. Send me the list of companies you're targeting."

Evan nodded. "Good. I'll have Aurora send you the details. Move quickly, and keep it under the radar. We can't afford any slip-ups."

As the call ended, Evan leaned back again, his eyes narrowing as he considered the steps ahead. The situation was getting more dangerous, but with the pieces moving into place, he was ready for whatever came next.

.....

The air was electric with anticipation as word spread like wildfire across Indra. A revolutionary breakthrough had surfaced, shaking the very foundations of healthcare. Patients from government hospitals and private clinics began posting online about miraculous recoveries from cancer and HIV. Videos of smiling families, tearful reunions, and heartfelt testimonies flooded social media.

Some dismissed it as a baseless rumor, a hoax to mislead the masses. Others, however, couldn't ignore the sheer volume of personal accounts pouring in. The trend continued to gain momentum, and soon, the name behind the miracle was revealed: Next-Gen Tech Pharmaceuticals.

In a bold move, Next-Gen officially announced that it had filed patents for groundbreaking vaccines and drugs that claimed to cure cancer and HIV. A statement followed:n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"For too long, humanity has suffered under the shadow of incurable diseases. Next-Gen is here to change that, to offer hope where there was none. The future is now."

This declaration sent shockwaves not just through Indra but across the globe. The prospect of curing diseases that had plagued humanity for decades was too monumental to ignore.

The chaos however was soon met with backlash as Evan expected.

But the excitement was short-lived. Within days of Next-Gen's announcement, a wave of condemnation swept in from powerful nations. Governments issued statements denouncing the claims, and the World Healthcare Federation (WHF) released a scathing notice:

"The vaccines and drugs presented by Next-Gen Tech Pharmaceuticals have been found to be less than 30% effective in clinical trials, with severe risks to patient health. Selling these products is tantamount to murder in broad daylight. We call upon nations to take immediate action against this dangerous enterprise."

Following this, countries across the globe moved quickly to ban and restrict Next-Gen's pharmaceutical operations. Licenses were revoked, distribution chains were severed, and international regulatory bodies launched investigations.

In a matter of weeks, what had begun as a hopeful revolution turned into a global crisis. Nations labeled Next-Gen as a rogue corporation, and media outlets painted it as a danger to public health. Explore stories on empire

Evan sat calmly in his office, watching the backlash unfold on multiple screens. Aurora's voice broke the silence. [The bans are escalating. Public sentiment is turning hostile. What is your next move?]

[This backlash could cripple Next-Gen's pharmaceutical division. Are you sure this is what you want?]
