Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Chapter 18:

[Location: Alarics Jeep, outside of Mystic Falls] [3rd POV]

After the slaying of the dragon, the three had buried the body before returning to the jeep. Landon and Rafael had already left, and Landon had left a note for Hope, who promptly read it, and then threw it away. Alaric had never seen the black magic spell that Hope was going to use, and Hope never even had to use it in the first place.

While sitting in the car, while on their drive back to the school, Alaric who had been silent the entire time, began to speak "What exactly was that spell?"

Talia hearing this perked up with a grin "A simple severing charm. It's meant to cut things, but with the right amount of power, and if used in the right situation, it can be pretty... damaging. There were other spells I was prepared to use, but the dragon was weaker than I thought" Which was true. Talia was expecting the dragon to survive the spell, which would have caused her to use bombarda, but it ended up dying in a single spell.

'I guess it was too much to expect from a such a weak dragon. I doubt any of the future monsters are going to be much better, difficulty wise' Talia thought with a sigh, before stopping as she heard Hope begin to speak.

"So...I lost the bet" Talia grinned at this, already having an idea of what to ask for.

"Mmhmm, I guess you want to know what I'm gonna ask for?" Talia said with a smirk. Hope sighed while nodding, expecting it to be something embarrassing. She was not expecting what Talia was going to say next though.

"A date" Talia said simply. Causing Alaric who was driving, to choke on his spit, while Hope to blush.

"A-a date?" Hope asked, not expecting that to be what Talia wanted, like...at all. She was expecting something like a silly dance, or singing some stupid song. Not to go on a date.

"Yep. I want to go on a date with you. Just you and me. I'll set it up and everything" Talia said with a soft smile on her face, while Hope looked down slightly in thought. Alaric was smiling at this, happy that Hope was finding someone for her.

"O-okay" Hope stuttered slightly, unused to situations like this one. Talia grinned "Sweet! How about this weekend?" Hope nodded slightly at this, refusing to look back at Talia in that

moment.

The rest of the ride back to the school was quiet for the most part, with the occasional conversation between Talia and Alaric. Alaric was more and more interested in Talia's magic with every new spell she shows, and Talia wasn't really all that scared of telling him a bit more about it. She was still keeping the truly dangerous stuff a secret, but telling him about stuff like flipendo, isn't really an issue.

Once they returned to the school, it was already late night, meaning most of the students were already asleep. Talia and Hope had done their usual watching of Kitchen Nightmares, before Hope had eventually fallen asleep, in her bed this time. Talia, once Hope was asleep, decided to get some grinding done tonight. Her goal tonight was to complete the rest of the goblin dungeon.

Talia had realized that she desperately needs to complete the tier mage soon, so that she can hopefully gain access to some TVD magic. Because she had very little knowledge on the magic of this universe, and she knew there were spells out there that can prove to be very helpful. She wasn't sure if she would be able to get to super tier spells, but she was fine with that as long as she got up to tier 9 spells. She was sure she could get them in the future as well.

She also had realized that she needed a more physical class, as while she was magically incredibly powerful, physically she was pretty weak. She was almost a glass canon, besides the fact that it was almost impossible to kill her permanently. She was hoping for something like a Werewolf or even Original class, so that she can get a physical boost. She doubted she could get her tier mage maxed out tonight, but she was sure she could get it pretty close. 'Status'

'Alright not that bad. If I do this dungeon run correctly, then I should be able to max out my class...but I might not get all the tier spells. I guess it would be best to just get this class maxed out, and get the higher tier spells in the future. I need to learn TVD magic more than learn those spells. I'm sure I can get them pretty soon in the future anyways' Talia thought with a hum, before having the system bring her into the dungeon.

Reappearing in the dungeon, Talia sighed and began her hunt.

[Timeskip because no one wants to read Talia hunt a bunch of no name mobs]

'Fucking finally' Talia thought as she looked at the notification that blared in front of her.

[Quest Complete]

Kill 1000 Goblins - 3 levels, All Tier 4 spells [Claim?]

She had been hunting for what felt like forever, but had finally completed the first quest. She wasn't sure entirely how long she was in the dungeon, but she guessed it was around 4-5 hours. She had went from level 72 to level 80 during that period, and had also trained some more in her spells. She ended up beginning the process of combining spells with one another, as she wanted to see if she could combine the killing curse and diffindo, to make some sort of killing curse severing spell. She felt that it could be very overpowered should it work, she just needed to figure out the proper way of combining them. She had made some progress, but hadn't completed the spell yet. She had also worked on using triple magic and other magic from her Tier mage class, on her wizard spells, in order to improve them. She had managed to use both twin magic and maximize magic on her wizard spells, but nothing besides those two. Claiming the rewards from the quest, Talia sighed as knowledge flooded into her brain. The tier four spells were actually halfway decent with a couple of them being useful, like control cloud, which would allow her to literally control and manipulate clouds. The five different lance spells were also pretty decent as well, as they all were rather damaging if used correctly. The best spell however, was dehydration. Which did exactly what it sounded like, it literally dehydrated the person casted on, and basically dry up all the water in them. It was probably the most dangerous fourth tier spell, if used correctly.

Besides that, the rest of the spell were pretty meh. There was tremor sense which would be pretty decent for sensing others, but that was about it in terms of usefulness.

'Well...time to find those stupid mini-bosses. Hopefully they aren't a pain to find' Talia thought with a sigh. She was hoping to get this done tonight, so she can get a new class, but she wasn't sure if she'd have enough time to. Seeing as she was currently level 83 after claiming the rewards from the quest, it would come pretty close. She would need to get 5 more levels from killing those bosses, or perhaphs get levels from completing some sort ofn/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

hidden quest.

Talia focused back onto the current situation, and began her search for the three mini-bosses. She knew that if she was to kill the mini-bosses, then the boss would reveal itself rather

quickly. After what felt like forever, Talia finally found the three minibosses she was looking for.

[Mezor the berserker - Goblin Miniboss]

[Gezor the spearman - Goblin Miniboss[

[Lezor the shaman - Goblin Miniboss]

'Triplets huh' Talia thought, as she stood quietly on a branch. She had already made sure to cast invisibility, odorless, and silence on herself. These spells made her invisible, silent, and as got rid of her smell. It basically made it next to impossible for them to properly sense her.

Talia stood there thinking over what spell to test on them. She had long since realized that this outer forest wasn't all that strong for her, and it was the inner one that she was probably going to have more difficulty in 'Perhaps...that spell would be best to test with twin and

maximize magic'

Whipping out her wand, Talia breathed in deeply and began to try out a new...and VERY powerful combination "Maximize Magic, Twin Magic, Fiendfyre!" Talia cast the first two spells in quick succession in order to boost the third spell. The second she cast fiendfyre, she watched in silent awe as two sets of a dragon and phoenix flooded from her wand, this time they were much larger than before. Before they were each the size of a bus or so, but now? Now they towered over the large trees in the surroundings.

... It was safe to say the triplet goblins had absolutely no chance to fight back. *CRACKABOOM*

Talia held her hands up to her face as the aftereffect of the huge fiendfyre caused powerful gusts of wind to slam into her. When the aftereffects finally ceased, Talia opened her eyes and promptly dropped her jaw at the sight before her.

The entire opening was now one large crater, and the forest on the opposite side of her was all on fire, or completely obliterated. 'Holy fuck...I'm OP!' Talia thought in realization. She knew that the combination was powerful, but not that powerful 'Who knew combining two completely different magic systems, would cause something like...this'

[Level Up x3]

[Quest Complete]

Kill the three minbosses in the outer forest - 5 levels, all tier 5 spells, and one random item

[Claim?}

Kill the boss of the outer forest - 7 levels, all tier 6 spells, and two random items [Claim?]

[Hidden Quest Complete]

Kill all goblins in the forest - 2 levels, All Tier 7 spells [Claim?]

Kill both the minibosses and the boss in a single blow - 3 levels, All tier 8 spells [Claim?]

Combine two separate magic systems to create something new - One Random Powerful Item (From ANY universe), All Tier 9 spells, and Title 'Creator of Magic'. [Claim?]

Talia just silently looked at the notifications, not understanding how she even managed to kill

the boss.

'Was it nearby? Or was it under them? And what does having a title like this one even mean?'

[Titles are only given to the host if they have done an incredible feat. In your case, you have combined two entirely separate magic systems. This is an incredibly impressive feat, as it is otherwise impossible or incredibly difficult to do, and yet the host has done it with relative ease. Certain titles can give the host boosts in certain areas in relation to the title. This is one

such title]

[Creator of Magic - As the creator of an entirely new system of magic, by combining the magic of two different universes, the host has accomplished an incredible feat. This title allows the host to create, combine, and change magic, magic spells, and magic systems easier than before, and in more ways than previously thought possible. This title applies to ALL magic the user may learn/create in the future. Should the user continue to create and combine magic

together, this title may unlock further capabilities]

'Well...that's pretty good. The titles name is pretty badass too' "Alright system, claim the normal quest rewards first"

[All Tier 5 Spells consumed. All Tier 6 Spells consumed]

[Haste Boots - A Pair of boosts that increases the users movement speed by 50%]

[Ring of Freedom - A ring that grants the user immunity to all binding, paralyzing, and all

other movement obstructing effects] [Salt - Exactly what you think it is]

'Salt...really?' Talia deadpanned at the third reward. The other two items were pretty decent

though. The spells were also pretty good as well. She had gotten used to the feeling of

knowledge flooding her brain, that she can basically ignore it now. 'System, equip the ring

and boots'

[Haste Boots - Equipped]

[Ring of Freedom - Equipped]

The Tier 5 spells weren't all that good, but there was a pretty good tier 6 spell in there.

Control Weather was a tier 6 spell that would literally allow her to control the weather, to an

extent at least. It was powerful, and she was already thinking of ways to abuse it in the future.

There was also the tier 5 spell: Teleportation. The spell was pretty decent, but apparition was arguably better due to apparition not really having a range limit as long as you have enough magic, and know where you want to go.

'Kind of disappointing to be honest. But I guess not every tier is going to have the best spells in the world. I guess it would be best to claim the first hidden quest, and then pick my subclass

and main class' "System, claim the rewards for my first hidden quest"

[All Tier 7 Spells consumed]

'Well...this is going to be a hard choice'

Gain access to an

additional chapter early, as well as other bonuses on my patreon for three dollars a month! /Fanfictions770?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator

(Or just look up Crazedmadman on Patreon and you should find me)

That's the end of this chapter! This chapter was pretty much entirely dedicated to her

dungeon escapade and then the rewards. I decided on getting the tier mage over with, as it was getting boring to write it, and I also realized that there isn't much to work with. This also marks the beginning of the dungeons getting a LOT harder, and her growth slowing. This also will be the first genuine poll for my patreon! Those on my patreon will be deciding

the subclass and main class that she picks. I already have an idea on what they are going to pick for the main class, but I am curious about the subclass. Personally, there is one choice in the subclass area that I am hoping they pick due to it being pretty unique and never used...like

at all (Well there are two that I've never seen used, but there is one in particular I am hoping

for).

I also hope I didn't get any of the levels messed up, as it was a bit of a pain to keep track of

them during this chapter. From now on the leveling will slow though, so it'll be a lot easier for

me.

Next chapter probably won't be as long as this one. Sorry about this chapter releasing late (for

me at least), I had difficulties due to the huge snowstorm going on over here, so I couldn't do much until now.

Anyways, have a good day! Point out any mistakes! See you tomorrow!
