Vampire God in the Apocalypse

Chapter 296: 293. Third-party

In the thick, dense forest, Tarzon and his fellow white wolves patrolled, most of them running around as if looking for something.

"I can’t smell them. Did they move?" Tarzon wondered as he stood in front of the large rock the witches had come out from the day before.

"Boss, we can’t seem to get a trail," a wolf with white hair just like Tarzon’s said as it grew smaller and returned to the size of a human.

Tarzon sighed while shaking his head.

The forest seemed empty as they had searched all around the area and couldn’t find anything.

"If they’ve left here, we should go to their backup location," a member of the pack suggested, his eyes glowing bright red as he looked ahead.

"Let’s go," Tarzon ordered, and then they all moved, transforming under the moonlight and heading towards a river. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

It only took a few minutes for the wolves to finally arrive at the river. There, they saw a temple built on top of it, and witches were all over the river, which seemed more like a lake.

"Seems like they were waiting," Tarzon said, and then he stretched his hands forward.

He had a smile on his face as his canines elongated.

The leader of the witch coven, who wore white, stared down at the werewolves charging at them, and then she nodded.

A wave of water arose from the river, and water began to be shot out of the wall.

The wolves were hit by each droplet and couldn’t help but feel pain from the impact.

"What’s this?" Tarzon growled in rage, then jumped high above the water wall, his eyes glowing in fury.

Carina was surprised at this, and her eyes glowed white. The river formed a hand and slapped the wolf out of the air.

The other witches were busy chanting spells, and all of a sudden, the air began to vibrate. The werewolves seemed to lose balance as they heard a high-pitched sound.

"Miss!"

Carina looked back at the shouting and saw a golden flash coming toward her.

A hot flame hit her hand, and she dropped the moonstone to the ground.

A man suddenly sped past it, stopping to glance at the stone in his hands. He kept it in his pocket and then looked around.

The witches were already bombarding him with spells, and the wolves noticed, shifting their focus.

The man was wearing a black jacket and trousers. A black scarf covered his neck, and he was wearing a ski mask to cover his face.

His eyes were filled with determination as he stood against the onslaught with the golden spear in his hand.

The man suddenly ran away into the forest, and the wolves chased after him, making the ground tremble slightly.

"Lady Carina! Should we stop them?" a witch asked.

Carina sighed, closing her eyes as she thought about it.

"Let’s leave it."

"What? But the moonstone has been a coven heirloom passed on for generations–"

"Leave it! We don’t need it anyway. It’s only putting us in danger," Carina said, and then she walked off.

The witches looked at each other in confusion and then decided to follow her lead.

One moment, they had been fighting with their lives to secure the item, and now they were just letting it go.

Tarzon chased after the man, but he was quick. The man suddenly sped up, getting closer to Tarzon, and leapt over him, landing in front.

The thief jumped over Tarzon, but the wolf leapt and grabbed his leg.

Bang!!

Tarzon slammed the thief into the ground, but the spear grazed his face, forcing him to let go.

The wolves quickly surrounded the man, who stood strong with his spear.

The wolves suddenly rushed him, growling loudly as their hooves clapped against the ground.

The mysterious man hit the spear on the ground, and suddenly there were three of him. The wolves seemed confused.

The three attacked forward, defending each other. The wolves struggled to land a hit as the man wielded the spear skillfully.

He spun the spear, clashing directly against the wolves’ claws and stabbing them afterward.

Tarzon stepped in, his nostrils releasing white smoke as rage consumed him. He was much bigger and more muscular than the wolves in his pack. He lunged forward with his claws toward the man.

Three spears stopped his claws. He seemed confused but quickly recovered, rushing the clones from all sides.

The man struggled to keep up as one clone dissipated, revealing a fake. The wolf appeared before the other and slashed it upwards.

The final one stood amongst the angry wolves. Tarzon slashed him, but he blocked. The force was too much, and the man was sent flying into a tree.

He looked up to see the sun emerging from the darkness and raised the spear, causing it to shine brightly. A beam of light shot down, making him vanish.

...

In another part, Dexter and the remaining two pack leaders moved through the woods. He noticed a flash of light crashing in a direction.

"You all go ahead. Let me check it out," he said, rushing into the forest like a flash of light.

He arrived to see a man struggling to stand, supported by a spear.

Dexter noticed the glowing circular stone in the man’s hand and blinked as it radiated a large amount of energy.

"Who are you?" Dexter asked as he walked toward the man.

The man’s brows furrowed as he raised his spear, pointing it at Dexter.

Dexter summoned the phantom spear in his hands and got ready to fight.

The top of the man’s spear glowed brightly, and a golden blast fired toward Dexter.

Dexter’s eyes shone, and he suddenly became transparent, allowing the light to pass through his body.

Dexter returned to normal, panting hard as the skill drained a lot of his spirit energy.

’It’s a good thing I brought out this spear instead of Dracula’s,’ he thought.

He turned back, his eyes widening as he saw the forest behind him reduced to nothing. A large crater stretched to the ocean. Your next read is at empire

Dexter turned to the man, vanishing in an instant. He appeared before the man and smacked his head, knocking him out.

Dexter frowned as he pulled the man up and removed his mask, recognizing the face.

"Rameses?"
