Shi Lang did not move a hand and the issue of the Three Houses produced a domino effect. Within seven days of the announcement, the people who had long been blaming the elders of the family for smearing the lineage took action.

Situ Tian Hu and his bunch of cronies were all assassinated in the dark of the night, and their corpse were used to feed beasts. The same thing took place in the Du and Ting families. The ruling powers in the family changed, and the size of the families shrank drastically.

The Terran was shocked when he received the news. He did not expect the elders to be this cruel but then again they did not seem to have much option. Either they got rid of the crooked old beams to straighten the pillars or they go their own ways. This cleansing action led the fame and the size of the three families decrease a lot.

However, given the foundation they had, as long as they worked hard to improve themselves and did not incur public backlash they would grow into strong powers again.

Shi Lang found out that Tong Bai had requested to be present at the moment when Situ Tian Hu was killed and took his last breath. She was happy to see that the person who killed her husband was dying in such a manner.

The Terran stood at the precipice of the cliff in the Tian Jian City. The elders of the sect have returned. Hao Mei and Yu Xeidi were the only ones staying beside him with Hou Bing. Tonight Shi Tao was coming to discuss something with him.

Shi lang knew what she would tell him. He did not have the heart to tell her that he was going to the Dao Plain. As he was looking at the horizon, a calm voice sounded in his ears, "Baba, what are you thinking about?"

Shi Lang sighed and replied, "Thinking about how to tell you that I am about to get busy again."

Shi Tao walked closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. She held his arm and said, "Remember the time when you got infected by Demon Energy and spend your time cleansing yourself?"

Shi Lang nodded and replied softly, "You were so angry that I was not there."

Shi Tao nodded gently before she said, "Yes, the thing is, after you ascended I was angry again, but then I saw mom. She worked hard to catch up to you. I remember questioning her once, why do you work so hard? You know what she said?"

Shi Lang shook her head and Shi Tao said, "She told me that the strong are destined to go ahead. If they give up their stride for the sake of the people they love. Then love becomes a shackle. The true meaning of love is to set the strong people free so that they can carve a path which can be followed by the others.

Shi Lang looked at her face, and placed his big palm over hers and said, "You have grown so much wiser. I guess you really did take after Amy."

Shi Tao shook her head and replied, "I took after both of my parents. Do you know what I am called back home? The Shura Princess."

Shi Lang smiled at her, Shi Tao encouraged him to go ahead and deal with stuff. This was the price paid by the strong and those around them.

After a long discussion, Shi Lang agreed to let Hao Mei and Yu Xeidi go and train with Cao Ming, because not only was the man a expert, but because the Asura Hall was getting busier and more dangerous tasks were coming up.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

The girls spent one more day with Shi Lang before they left the place. The Terran then met Miwa Nova, the girl who was supposed to be their guide for the way.

Miwa Nova was dressed in a black and green hanfu, with a matching hair pin in her hair, looking very youthful. She greeted Shi Lang with a bow, and the young man returned the gesture. Miwa Nova said, "Lord, would you like to come along to the Star flower pavilion? Young Master Tian, and Young Miss Ming are there too."

Shi Lang agreed and followed her to the said location. Tian Jian and Ming Yanzi both stood up from their seats and nodded to him. Shi Lang did the same and the four of them sat down on around a table before the maids on duty poured them tea.

Shi Lang took a sip after raising the cup to them all and asked, "Miss Nova, what are the things that we need to be mindful of in the Dao Plain?"

Nova placed her cup back on the table and said, "Lord Shi, the first thing you all should do is to stick together. I am a guide, while the ten thousand races cannot kill me, they will come after you. So, stick together and do not trust anyone you meet there. Another thing that I would like to highlight to you is to ensure communication."

Shi Lang raised his brows and asked, "You suspect that we will be separated?"

Miwa Nova nodded and said, "The guides have the knowledge of the Dao Plain, but they do not have the permission to move pass the gathering point, the Dao City."

Shi Lang pondered and then said, "Does the Dao Plain has its own rules? Or is it similar to our plain."

The people were confused and Nova said, "It is similar to ours."

Shi Lang nodded and took out three full fledged communicators. He handed them to the three people and said, "This is a device that my people made, it can help us with seamless communication and also scouting. So, I would like you to familiarize with these before we leave."

Then he taught them how to use the communicators which shocked them and after a few hours when they had finished all their preparations, Miwa Nova said, "We will meet at the central square, just when the sun is about to rise, at the peak of dawn. Do not be late or we would miss out the chance to enter the Dao Plain."

The trio nodded and then they left the place. Shi Lang spent his time sorting out the information through the information he had on Souls. There was a lot of knowledge and he needed time to read. His body was cultivating on its own, he did not have to worry about increasing his spiritual energy, only comprehension mattered to him at this stage.

The night passed very quickly and Shi Lang opened his eyes just a few minutes before the Dawn. He appeared at the central square, where a tall pillar stood. Tian Jian, Ming Yanzi, and Miwa Nova appeared beside him a few moments later, and Nova said, "This pillar is one of the ten thousand pillars that uphold the weight of the Dao Plain. It is said that if the blood of a guide falls on the Dao Pillar, the pillar would collapse and the Dao Plain will break."

The three people nodded, after researching about the Dao Plain, they all knew what she was saying. This legend was popular, and it prevented all the Guides to be protected, after all, no one is willing to stake everything for the sake of an experiment that could create an obstacle in their paths to the peak.

Nova said, "The importance of finding a legacy in the Dao Plain is significant. Even the lowest level of legacy can lead someone to the realms of Dao Sage. A realm that has not been seen in the Immortal Plain for a very very long time."

Shi Lang nodded in understanding, as he said, "Why have the humans not find anything their in such a long time?"

Nova replied, "Because they have never been able to confront the races who block their paths. You might need to slay a lot of people before you can get a glimpse of the legacy."

Shi Lang looked at the other two people and said, "If you both agree, can I take command for the battle?"

Tian Jian chuckled and said, "Brother Shi, you do not have to ask you that. We are going there only because you are here."

Shi Lang nodded and asked, "Elliot did not came?"

Nova shook her head and replied, "Her realm is not yet strong enough to enter the Dao Plain. She will join you guys later."

Shi Lang nodded and then they watched the sunlight peek through the horizon and a portal appeared under the huge pillar.
