Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 969 The joy of festivities

[OP: ]

Two magical eyes glanced down from a high sky…

All the colours of nature present in those eyes.

'Looks like they are having fun.'

His smile filled with warmth as he thought back to the hundreds of festivals that they had celebrated in that very garden in the past.

He thought back to the time he first came to this island, to this academy, and enjoyed the first festival of his own academy life as the student with his friends, with his classmates, with his mentor.

He had enjoyed every moment of the first ever festival that he celebrated there, so he knew how the students that study, every one of his students, every one of those children also enjoy these festivals to the fullest.

There's alway a smile on their faces most of the time, they are happy, they are busy handling their stalls, and they are busy looking after the people that come there to enjoy the festival with them, and they are busy fighting with their friends, and they are busy enjoying all the activities with the fear of missing out.

'If not for Them… they could have enjoyed the festival as the others around them are as well.'

The festival in itself was a fun event.

There were all kinds of things to do in the great academy garden as well as inside the academy castle.

The entire academy was open for the outsiders today, at least most of the places.

The great ancient tree that was a rare sight to most of the people was available for all of them to visit.

Sir Quesnel was taking the initiative to play with the children and their mothers and other family members were happily watching all of them from a side.

Some people that visit the academy every time there was a festival here were greeting the old friends that they had made in the academy, some young students who weren't of age were asking the students about their experiences in the academy.

There were people from all of the media outlets present in the academy right now, most of them were asking the students about their experiences in the academy while some of them were targeting the famous individuals that half of the world knew about by now.

'Haaa…'

With house captains being the centre of attention for the reporters, the famous personalities and those that were rumoured to be special were all being targeted by the reporters, yet, somehow, those sharp reporters and their cameras had not found the two that were the most mysterious and unusual of any of the students.

'They have to sacrifice their valuable time because of me… haha, I've not felt this way for a long time now, right?'

Captain of the notorious Dark Society, and the vice captain of the house that was one sidedly dominating the house ranking this time around, the one who had taught the youngest Master Alchemist, and the one who was said to be the forthcoming of the Roxanna Empress.

There were hundreds of them present in each section of the garden at the moment, and no one had come across the two even after chasing after them for hours since dawn.

They knew they were present in the garden and were doing all kinds of things.

Just like most other students, they were also enjoying the festival, helping their friends, meeting the important guests from the previous generations, and playing around as they pleased.

Some had accidentally captured their image, but that was the end of what they obtained.

The two still remained a complete mystery to the media.

'Still, they worked hard.'

The headmaster moved his gaze around the garden and saw a few things that he couldn't help but smile at.

Be it the Presidents of his student council who were actually playing around the garden for once, be it the house captains that were having fun in their stalls, be it the previous year students who were wondering how a class could have creatures not one or two but eleven total masterpieces, and the pure smiles of the little children who were playing with the Sir Quesnel.

There were a lot of people present on the academy premises, and there were also many children among them.

Some of them would become students of this academy in the future, and some wouldn't be as lucky as them and might have to try the next year.

'This wouldn't have been possible without those two.'

He had been focusing on Eon and Elle, wondering how they got entangled into such a mess at such a young age.

'Even for a witch and Reincarnation…'

They were amazing.

That's all he could think as he smiled at them and saw their Joyous expressions.

He could tell they were having fun. And he could tell this festival had at least helped them get over a few stressful things.

The joy that was present on their faces might not be as bright as the one present on the other children's faces, but they were happy.

Even after helping him with various things that would have required at least a few masters and high ranking individuals, even while carrying the worst burden by themselves, they were not falling apart… which is, once again, admirable.

[{ "Let us get started." }]

[{ Yes, master. }]

In a faraway land, under the ground away from all the eyes, the evil was signalling the beginning of a grand battle.

And, with their own start, the headmaster had given the signal to begin the assault from their own side.

-Skyyyyyyyyyyyy—Flllllllllllllllll…!

A sound so sharp every single person on the ground heard it, but with its short duration and the environmental effects, it was ignored by most.

"Seems like it is starting."

"Yes…"

However, to the ears that were expecting this signal since a while ago, this was only the signal to raise their concerns.

"Let's go."

"…yes."

They were going to go inside the haunted house created by Sir Quesnel next but they made a left turn and walked to the other side…

Passing through the happy, cheerful, and diverse crowd, they reached the place where they had decided to meet up with the presidents, and when the presidents arrived there, the four went ahead and vanished from the place without a trace without anyone noticing.

In the outskirts, the stronghold of the demonic cultists was already raided by the Emperor of Roxanna who was now part of this plan along with the Northern witch, the masters of the east, a few of the previous graduates, as well as their grandpa Zhen.

He was doing a personal favour to the headmaster, so his master did not know about this yet.

However, this was just a copy as well so nothing serious was going to happen to him.

'Haaaa… then, shall we join them as well?'

After casting a magnifying and vision assisting spell before the four of them who now stood in his office and looked out in their direction, the headmaster turned his enraged head to the east.

They were at that end right now, however, that was not all of them.

There were more, there were undoubtedly more of them who would try to do something else. Something heinous like they always do.

He knew it, thus he did not take any chances this time around.

[{ "Everyone, this is Merlin." }]

They were using a unique origin connection that resembled the one that Celes had, and even though it was their first time using something like this, they weren't having any difficulty with it.

With Harry being the centre of this connection, there were some people who were helping secure this connection, and not just anyone could interfere with them.

Be it demons or a god with divine authority.

They weren't going to be hindered by anyone.

[{ "We will now begin formation A1." }]

They were outnumbered, they did not have any actual way to defend themselves, and they weren't even in an organised position.

They had their own unique individual strengths, that was true. But they weren't going to be enough to go against hundreds of individuals from their side.

[{ "Let's throw these cancerous bastards out of our house!" }]

The headmaster was angry.

There was anger visible on his face unlike his usual calm self.

And this anger was not just towards the people that were still summoning whatever being they were calling through this summoning circle, but, his anger was directed to the crux of this problem.

These little dumb people were not the ones who came here personally, disguised themselves and lived here for months, perhaps years.

The island had existed for a very long time, but this island was not simply a place of refuge for ones like her, but it was also a place of learning.

-Oooooooooooooooooooong!

There was nothing to hesitate.

The people present here were being dealt with in a way that they were supposed to, and… not even a giant that they had summoned would make any difference.

[{ "Oh wait…" }]

[{ "Did he just do what I think he did?" }]

[{ "Is that…" }]

Sadly, a simple conclusion to this important battle would not justify its importance to this whole island.

If those damned cultists were doing something, they better do it right, and by their right, it simply means the worst thing for the ones against them.

[{ "It is a corrupt creature! Headmaster! They are trying to corrupt it!" }]n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

[{ "I know! I know what they are planning to do!" }]

The thing that they successfully summoned was not a simple beast but an abstract creature… like a ghost or an evil spirit.

It would have been dangerous if they were the ones present there on the battlefield with a simple giant creature but they would have been fine there, but the case was different for a creature that has been artificially corrupted.

Something that would make things worse…
