Chapter 2149 The Dashavatara (Rama) -Part 17
"Do you think I will go down that easily!??" Rama coughed out blood and he could finally feel the poison that the other Dashavatara had warned. This was no ordinary compound that even he as a hero could remove. Perhaps Siddharta Buddha might be able to do something about it but not at this moment where he had been caught in a bind.
The fact that there were no other Celestial Avatars coming for his aid meant that they too were being kept busy and he would either accept his fate or continue to fight against these puny humans.
After all, as much as deadly 'scorpions' could be, they can still be squashed and Rama will be able to escape and retreat to receive treatment even though it would be humiliating for him and unbefitting of the title that he holds.
But survival triumphs all things and as long as he breathes, he would be able to overcome this problem and return to annihilate all of them. What he needed was more time to ensure that he understood their tactics a little more since this was the first time he saw that they were a little more unconventional in their fighting style.
It was despite the fact that he had studied Atopia, the wars they fought, and how they generally won their battles. Especially since Ress was their selected target, Rama even purposely took the effort to undertake more magic resistant slaying …instruments to ensure that they could pierce magical based barriers easily.
Sadly, the history and past battles he studied did not exactly reflect the current practice of Ress Mages. They were said to be Mages with extremely high explosive powers but that was all they had for their traits. But right here and now, it proved that his intel was prehistoric.
All of them were not shooting out explosive magical powers and instead using magic loaded projectiles to enhance their attacks, allowing them to fight for an extended period of time. Their attacks were not slow and flashy and the fights they had denoted that their battle experience was vast especially their capabilities to react in battle.

He assumed that only a small squad of veterans would be able to do that but not the entire battlefield. Despite the fact that he could recognise there were still some rookies within the mix of the battlefield as compared to the others, they were equally trained to react to such stressful situations on the go that it made him wonder how the hell could this happen.
Still, regardless of the thoughts that he had overflowing in his mind, he needed to break free from this problem he was facing or else there was no way that he could win this battle. Although he was an archer in nature, it did not mean he did not have the necessary skills to fight in a melee battle. Despite the poison coursing through his veins, he continued to do what was needed.
With pure brute strength, he broke all of the blades that the Blade Mages were using and wanted to jump out of the scene to get a breather. However, he had forgotten that they were not just Blade Users, but Blade Mages. Despite the break in the blades, all of them simultaneously used gravity magic to pull him down.
Not only that, the 5DM Gear System had enabled them to carry multiple blades just as how the Mousefolk did it.
Hence, they quickly changed their blades as they pulled him down from the skies. The moment he dropped close to the surface of the sea, they reversed the gravity spell as a whole while stabbing him in sync. It was a brutal scene to see someone being killed in such a way but the Blade Mages did not care.
They needed to do whatever it took to defeat a god and this was unfortunately one of the ways to do so.
But just as they believed they were going to kill a god, one of the Sea Hunters who were on the watch for other threats realised that there was someone who would not want to see the Ideal Hero die. A quick dash from the sky revealed a monkey wielding a giant club swinging toward the Blade Mages.
In retaliation to such an attack, the Sea Hunters guarded the murdering scene by relentlessly shooting at the monkey, and yet all of the bullets were deflected easily with a wheeling spin.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The System subsequently revealed that the monkey was none other than the staunch ally of Rama, Hanuman. Known as the god of strength by many, he was something akin to a lesser Hercules, and despite how he tried to deny it, the fact that the way he acted and wielded his club had proven otherwise.
But what Hanuman did not know was that the Sea Hunters were not the only ones guarding the scene. Serpent Tentacles also climbed out of the waters in an attempt to stop the God of Strength from reaching his friend. However, Hanuman was capable enough to decimate all that was surrounding him and he reached close to his ally until Sir Alan came into the picture.
Even though he looked old and downtrodden by the experiences he had throughout his life, the fact that he was still standing toe to toe against Hanuman meant that he was not someone to be trifled with as well. With an electric chainsaw attached to his rifle, he effectively stopped the tough downward swing that Hanuman threw at him.
And unknowing to the God of Strength, the Sea Hunters guarding the area had already moved to his flanks the moment he locked weapons with Sir Alan. With the electric chainsaw stuck onto his giant club, that split second was more than enough to plug multiple bullets into Hanuman.
Their objective was at least one bullet into the enemy regardless of their rank or status. As long as there was a hit, the humans would have an upper hand in this battle no matter what. This weakness must be exploited to the fullest if they wish to win this and survive.
