Supreme Lord: I can extract everything!

Chapter 1073 How Much?

1073  How Much?

Michael swallowed hard. His world turned upside down, and nothing seemed to make any sense.

"I only have one question…" That was a lie. Michael had numerous questions. In fact, his head was overflowing with them. However, there was only one thing the Will had to answer. If Will wasn't willing to answer or the answer was even more unpleasant than Michael expected, Michael would…do something. He wasn't sure what exactly he would do or what he could do against a being with more amassed Essence than the Primal and all gods together.

"How much did you influence my life?" Michael asked. The question was simple, yet not. Depending on how much the Will intervened in his life, something within Michael may or may not break. The Will knew that but it didn't even do something against Michael when he used Mind Watcher on him. On the contrary, the Will acknowledged and embraced Michael's vigilance. "It's good that you're vigilant, but it is even better for you to know that everything I say is nothing but the truth," The Will commented.

"But to answer your question, I didn't do too much. That doesn't mean I didn't intervene much in your life, but compared to how much I tried creating other prospects, you can be considered a pleasant ride…with the best results I've yet to create," The Will answered, but that wasn't enough for Michael. The Will noticed that and nodded slowly, his pristine white form rippling again and again.

"I created a system to infuse Curses into the respective Cursed Children. I didn't infuse Fenrir into your soul. That was something I didn't do. However, I did get informed about it and decided to insert a trace of my purest Essence into you as a mark. I had to mark you to watch your growth. Since you were suitable enough to become the Holder of Fenrir's curse, I was aware of your potential. You had the potential to grow into a powerful god. Therefore, you, alongside Taros and a few more children, turned into my potential successors. I haven't made a final decision yet, but I've prepared your starting Soultrait Symbols and suitable territories to ignite your growth."

The Will stopped for a moment before continuing. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I had nothing to do with your actions outside the Origin Expanse, and I never changed the probability of obtaining a Soultrait Symbol, nor did I ever think about influencing you to accept certain Soultrait Symbols. However, I did create the Lord Rift for you and Taros to meet the Librarian. Taros didn't meet the Librarian and focused on the Red Dragon egg instead. That was fine, but I had to intervene again when Masked Saber died to protect you. I had to rescue your brother, otherwise, your gentle nature would have been fully replaced with uncontrollable fury. The Undead Pharaoh, on a side note, wasn't resurrected by me. Your brothers' blood, infused with little curse power, was at fault. He was betrayed by the Blaze Patriarch's underlings, which you have realized a long time ago. I didn't stimulate them to do anything. I did allow the Dragys to enter the Untamed Jungle, which is out of character for their starting territory, to push you closer to the Temple of the Forgotten. After all, it looked like you were neglecting the temple because you were…not scared, but you respected the danger of the temple and your brother's warnings enough to ignore it for a long time. Too long considering what awaited you.

I was also responsible for your encounter with Siegfried. I let you summon him, but not because of the Sacred Knight Temple. No, I needed him to tell you about the danger of possessing Aethyr and that it is dangerous to grow it too quickly because too many powerful beings would be interested in obtaining it. It was a pleasant surprise to find out the Tritan Alliance possessed Aethyr. If not for the Aethyr gifted by the Tritan Alliance, I would have been forced to gift you Aether in a subtle way.

Probably by pushing you to search for your family heirloom. Fenrir's Fang is actually a small fang made of Aether. Cleave Fenrir procured it from an Ancient Ruin, a creation of mine specifically for him, and he gifted it to his daughter before his final battle. The Fang must be somewhere outside the Origin Expanse. Maybe your Aethyr was made from the fang through some coincidence, but I do not know if that is actually the case or not. It doesn't matter either way.

Once Siegfried was there, I found Jormungandr. He'd been trying to enter the Origin Expanse for a while, but I always blocked his access. Only a few beings with Divinities were allowed to enter the Origin Expanse. Their connection to the weave created an instability that was hard to control. However, I needed Hel and Jormungandr at the right spots. They were perfectly suited for you and great teachers. Their wisdom, experience, and powers were all things you needed."

The Will approached Michael slowly, "Other than that, I didn't do anything."

Michael was about to step back but hesitated. Mind Watcher reassured Michael that everything was nothing but the truth. Everything the Will had said was shown through the Will's memories as well. In fact, Michael saw his entire life through the Will's eyes and how 'little' the Will intercepted. There were a few points the Will left out, such as his subtle interception when the Blaze Patriarch and his people decided where they were going to rebuild their territories, but everything was to help Michael. That included when the Miniature Coffin Keychain was created to contain Daniel Fang. The Miniature Coffin Keychain might not have been created for Danny's sake but rather to ensure Michael's personality wouldn't spiral down the wrong path, yet that didn't truly matter. The Will didn't really do anything bad to him.

Michael was glad to have encountered Jormungandr and Hel. He was also happy to have defeated the Supreme Human Alliance.

"You were always strong and hard-working. All I did was push you a little, revealing the opportunities you needed. I never forced you to go down these paths, either. Even though I created them, you choose them!"

The Will said, and Michael knew it was nothing but the truth.

Still, he swallowed hard as the Will stepped closer.

"I also know you want to grow stronger. Strong enough to beat the Primal. I grant you the opportunity as long as you accept the Origin Expanse. If not, the Origin Expanse will implode and cease to exist once I cannot control it anymore."

Michael wanted the Will's power. He needed it.

He swallowed again, but his train of thought slowly shifted.

The corners of his lips tilted upward.
